New to EV ownership and charging but the Ohme charger and app are a fantastic pairing. It could not be easier to setup and configure, now linked to a flexible EV tariff it manages the schedule ensuring the car is ready for the next journey as cheaply as possible. Key information is displayed on the initial screen, it is quick and simple to make changes, reviewing charging sessions is a quick swipe and tap. A really well thought out app, well done Ohme.

Recent update has broken stuff, why?? Used to be able to click on the charger 'settings' icon in top right corner and it would instantly display charger status, settings and (most importantly) the CT clamp reading. Now it's almost impossible to access the charger 'advanced settings' page to see the same info, it just flashes up a repeated error message saying "We couldn't get your charger's advanced settings, please try again". Utterly useless, why break this key feature?

Last couple of updates to the app seem to have ruined the charging experience. I get messages like "Your EV has stopped charging unexpectedly. Is the battery full?". Problem is the message was generated at 1.30am and I didn't see it till the morning when it's too late to start charging again. Why doesn't the charger attempt to start charging again by itself?? Also, the app now says its unable to the car to ascertain the battery status. Why, as the charger is plugged into the car??!!

Finally my car can be paired so I gave it another try, after a year of no news from technical , and yes it paired. However, now the charger won't accept approval of a plugin and set a schedule at all. So I've had to unpair and go back to basic setting which means almost every time not getting the cheapest periods in the Octopus Agile tariff. Get your act together and sort it out! I have had the Ohme EPod installed for around 2 weeks now, I am very disappointed in my choice. The app doesn't charge the car correctly at all despite linking with the vehicle app and confirming the data on battery capacity etc it fails to fully charge the hybrid (so smaller) HV battery. Additionally sometimes it will decide to not charge the car at all!! What's the point in paying out a large sum of money for nothing?! Can't get hold of the team because of high call volumes.. Says enough!

Since the update this app is useless. Set not to charge at peak rates but constantly does costing me money. The only way I can stop this is by getting up at 5am to physically unplug it. I have paired my car successfully to it, Mégane e tech, but this has made no difference. I have also entered my energy tariff correctly. Previous version had no problems.

Was 5 stars on first installation now down to 2 stars for the reasons below. App is no longer showing daily or monthly costs. App no longer shows advanced settings and current clamp readings. Effectively only a high current timer switch now. Very poor and considering asking for a full refund and moving to a different brand. Disappointing as it all worked perfectly when installed a couple of months ago.

The app/charger unfortunately does not talk properly to my car so I am unable to use many of the features. The UI is clunky and lacks basic manual functionality - eg it is not possible to set it to charge at max speed for 2.5 hours, so I need to set myself alarms to manually turn it on and off. Every time I try to open the advance settings it says it is unable to do so. I would not recommend this app and charger to any MG drivers.
