Sound Meter is an excellent sound meter. It matches the NIOSH app for the iPhone exactly, which says a lot. It met all my requirements, including an excellent graph showing the average SPL exposure in DBs, and the displayed values are very easy to read. Kudos to the developers for such a high-quality app! My only ask is that you add color segments on the arc of the readout meter, indicating danger level (e.g.: red for >= 115q db).

About as good as these things can possibly be on a random phone microphone. You can somewhat accurately measure consistent noises like your fridge but anything else is going be off. You need to have a consistent microphone for these to work very well, it is impossible to calibrate for every microphone a phone could have.

Very useful and easy to use. Well worth the price to get rid of the Ads. They are very invasive.

Very easy to use, save and replay. Only disappointment is that there seems no way to the sound files created to other storage and I can't even find the folder where the data is stored.

No comparison to a proper sound meter that have. Microphones on phones aren't great at the best of times and here they prove that. Feature wise I like it but it's not something I can reliably use to monitor noise levels anywhere near accurate.

I'm only had this app for a very short while, but in the brief time that I've had with it, the level of polish, the beautiful UI and the consistent and predictable results have been impressive, and a testament to the obvious love and skill that went into the development of this application. Should anything change I'll update , but as of now I consider this beautiful app to be flawless .

I haven't tested how accurate this is, but it seems accurate when I go outside and listen to thr traffic vs distant freeway vs whatever noise there is. Great if it's what you are looking for.
