It started off great. Now after paying/subscribing to service. My Chrome browser glitches. In order to get full access. You have to make AVG your default browser. I have too much info stored in Chrome that I don't want to lose or tediously transfer in order to make AVG my default browser. I had to by that option by resetting my phone. I couldn't connect to my Chrome browser for 24 hrs.

AVG anti virus is very good, it works very well in the background and advises promptly if there are any issues related to my phone etc. I feel confident that all viruses and associated problems will be dealt with speedily. I have just one observation regarding the VPN on the main AVG app, I have set the VPN to always automatically connect, this works fine on the VPN app but on the main app itself it doesn't that VPN is on, it may be me!😂 But I thought that I would mention it, thank you

My last review was on a free version , I now have the subscription to get the VPN level of security, I love it. I'm not at all tech.smart on electronic stuff. AVG is great , I can navigate thru it an not wonder if I did it correctly or try to figure out where I need to go on device , the app. Guides you to it . You won't go wrong , try it , thank me later. I had to change my review. This has started blocking my calls, texts, and notifications. I have to turn it off to answer my phone and by time I turn it off the phone stops ringing. Some calls don't even make it through and texts do not come through until I turn it off sometimes. This has caused me to lose delivery orders that were delivered to wrong address, miss important texts and calls from my job, my son's school, etc. I had to cancel after months of this. I even reinstalled it but nope!

The most obtrusive ads I have ever encountered in any android app. Has timers so you can't close the annoying game ads for 10 seconds. Opens app pages for the lame games in play store when I try to close the ad by clicking the X, and then shows even more ads with timers. It constantly tries to get you to switch to the pay version so much so that it is really hard to use the app. Super super annoying.

I have had a very positive experience with AVG. They alert me immediately when there is any threat to my phone and stop it immediately before any damage can be done. Their apps are easy to use and service affordable, although I have not upgraded to level. The only drawback is the amount of advertising service but that is tolerable for the good quality service.

AVG on my android is not intrusive, provides protection from malicious websites and malware, while allowing me to choose whether to toggle protection settings on or off, set pins for sensitive apps, move programs from blocked to allowed, etcetera; all for a reasonable annual fee. I highly recommend it. You can choose their version for a higher fee.

I used to be a loyal AVG fan. Went away from them for a couple of years. Just purchased the new one on Android. Absolute let down. They want to charge you for every little extra. Less than 24 hours afterward, I called for a refund. What a nightmare. The customer was very friendly and accommodating to my face, and as soon as they hung up promptly acted like the phone had disconnected. I received an email stating that the call had been lost. Still haven't even got my refund
