Use GoCarma to get high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) toll discounts on Dallas-Fort Worth TEXpress Lanes during weekday peak periods (6:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.).HOW IT WORKS
To qualify for a 50% toll discount, make sure that there are at least 2 people in the vehicle with the GoCarma app on their phone. The app will activate automatically and use GPS and Bluetooth to your HOV status, even when the app is closed.
TRAVEL WITH KIDS?
No problem, just send us a message. We'll send you an Occupant that you can carry on board whenever you travel with kids in the car. This is a small and non-trackable Bluetooth tag that simply tells the GoCarma app that a 2nd person is in the vehicle.

Pretty sure it's a scam, just a data mining app. I read the other reviews, mostly all bad, before I installed, but figured what have I got to lose. I configured everything correctly and the app shows my car in the Express lanes at right time but it didn't match any transactions, as other s have already said. I called NTTA, they said they don't know anything about GoCarma and are NOT d with them. If so, how would GoCarma match any transactions? Apparently, then don't! Removing.

Never shuts off, drains phone battery. You can force stop the app and it will arbitrarily start up again while you're sitting in your house (nowhere near a tollway). Would much prefer an app that allows you to turn it on when I plan on using the HOV express lanes. Just another case of big brother wanting to track everything everyone does. Deleted the app. Do not recommend although it does save money when you have two people in the car.

No HOV status. Zero indication of anything other than it sees your car. You have to have blind faith that the system is working and not overbilling you. When you mention this, response is to set up the vehicles and everything will work fine. They don't care that s want to know if the app is working right or not, the refuse to acknowledge that statis indication would be a good idea.

THIS IS A PLOY TO KEEP YOU FROM COLLECTING DISCOUNTS!!!! Another joke app to keep you from using discounts. From first glance, setup is a hassle. Must be in the vehicle to setup, I have 3 cars. So this will take some extended setup time. Have not even got to the "required separate bluetooth devices". In my case, I have 3 cars driving kids to dance, hockey, baseball, soccer or what have you. Will rarely have multiple smartphones in the car. At least with the last app I could schedule in advance.

Unable to . I pre-ed and when I try to sign in it says email or is incorrect. I've changed the twice now. So far I'm very unimpressed. Update: They have been extremely responsive and helpful in getting my issue fixed. Ended up having to sign up with a different email address but I've had almost immediate responses from the team when I've reached out.

App starts at boot. Starts at random even if force stopped ... That was one of their "selling points"... Dont want to be tracked, turn off the app and location.... I do that and it still restarts..... Turning off location to avoid you tracking everything means I can't: -Pair a new Bluetooth device -ask for "x" near me -use a mapping app without you tracking -use a weather app. Just turning off location isn't an option any longer. THIS APP DOES NOT NEED TO SELF START.

I think it's stupid that you must have a enger add this app to their phone, especially when it's not someone you travel with often, in order to get the HOV discount. I miss just being able to to an app, say that I'll be using the HOV during peak hours with a enger, and it give me the discount. You shouldn't have to ask your friend, co-worker, classmate, etc to install this app that requires them to use their GPS like that, especially if you have paranoid people with you.

Awful. Very complicated and cumbersome to set up and use. Setup is lengthy requiring toll tag, , license numbers and other information. This app must be installed and set up for at least two people in the same vehicle to get the HOV discount. Traveling with children, the elderly, or enger w/out the app = NO DISCOUNT. Rarely works when it is set up correctly. App requires location data & physical activity to always be enabled causing additional battery drain. Pop ups block buttons.
