Since version upgrade does not give reminders to put bins out. Tried reinstalling it in 2024. Worked for a while and now another update has broken it. Just use a recurring calendar reminder instead, it's much more reliable

Excellent app for Christchurch's waste service! Well done to the Christchurch City Council for taking initiave and creating this app for us! There have been a lot of changes to the items and what bin they go in so this app is crucial! Great reminder for rubbish collection! Widgets and alarm to remind you to put out and bring in your bin. Pretty standard features but very useful.

Never seems to remind me at the set time to put bins out or bring them in. Now it has a "technical" issue and just gives a black circle of spinning death. So glad to see my rates money being so well spent. Its now been over a week and still no progress made on that at spinning circle of death. Can now say the "technical" issue has been resolved after about another week. The developer has given some advice on getting the reminders to work better and it appears to be doing a better job.

since last update it gives incorrect and/or conflicting information. this week the notification says "bins out recycling and organics" but in the app it says rubbish and organics. guess I'll just go back to looking outside to see what others put out.

Much prefer speed and convenience of previous version. This is now hugely frustrating. No clear immediate info on which bins go out when! The mybins is clunky bollocks. Prior to my collection on 13 Nov 2020, the app stated that, for my address, organics would be collected. No red. No yellow. Just organics listed. But on the day, both organics and recycled were collected. Had I followed the app, I would have missed my collection. The old version never had such a basic balls-up. Change is never "always better". I strongly recommend that folk do not update. Stay with the "older" iteration. Meanwhile, I hope that the IT folk get more bleeding training!!!!!

I asked to add my address to the list about FOUR monthes ago. And several times after it! It has never been done! And yes, I do know, that it doesn't take this long to do such a thing! Such a disrespect! And only lies in the emails - wait for 10 days, wait for ten days more.... It should've been cool experience - the app is colorful, contains lots of info, has notifications and a widget. BUT.

Sometimes works, mostly doesnt. I set the reminder for when to put bins out, but it very rarely actually reminds me. Then just by chance I'll it's bin night so go into the app to see which bins, but it just hangs. Might go back to my old ribbon tied to the bin method. That worked every time.
