It worked great. I was surprised by the amount of information it provides on when and where the train is arriving. It also provides plenty of different payment methods. It integrates well with your Google wallet. It doesn't force you to create an , even though it is an option. They are updating the app regularly. It's the best train app I've seen so far. My only small gripe is that it isn't easy to find city names if you write them on English... But... Well... When in Rome...

Completely antiquated with rigid such as; impossibility to buy tickets of regional trains in the last 5 minutes before departure; etc. It's also not possible to get a refund for an unused regional train ticket even if cancelled days before. Won't let you change the time of an journey and simply obsessively displays an unhelpful error message. All in all, a *substandard* app, betraying the crippling bureaucracy of a backward country!

The app is fine for the most part. You can buy tickets online which is important because sometimes you cannot do it from the machine or ticket office (their payment system does not work well). However, if we are talkiing about the overall experience of using Trenitalia it is consistently bad and I would rate it as 1. You have constant delays, frequent strikes, and calncellations sometimes minutes before train departure an everyday relity. And the company does nothing to adress these proplems.

Amazing customer and very usefull app, earlier I wrote that this app is useless because I was not able to retrive the tickets, but the mistake was at my end I was using a wrong email ID, Kudos to their professional customer they were able to response back in few minutes. Very impressive!

Terrible app with terrible service ... shame of the national transportation provider of Italy... they never value the time of people ... the service drops every year and is becoming worse and worse Update... 10.12.2024 Yesterday train from trastevere is supposed to depart for Fiumicino Airport at 6:36 ... the app showed no delays despite checking every 2-3 minutes... all at a sudden it got removed from the app as if it never existed ... the next train came 40 minutes later and it was full!!!

The search function does not seem to work anymore. It does not let me search for connections. I deleted and reinstalled the app repeatedly. Last year I had no issues with the app. Edit: Figured it out, it's the VPN. The App doesn't work properly when using a VPN.

You can't without selecting your county of birth from a dropdown list, but that list doesn't include the United States! EDIT: It's there, but it's under S (for Stati), not U or A. This seems odd since the list uses a mixture of Italian and English names, but in any case, I've upgraded my rating. The app itself seems to work well. Will edit further after we actually take a trip.
