This Android application is used to monitor the temperature of a room like a server room, Hydroponics lab, greenhouse or outside in a crop field. Anywhere you need to monitor temperature. The app will dial a number or sound an alarm if the temperature reaches specified levels. It can be used as a frost alarm alert system. Or as an overheat alarm. The length of time it will dial can be set to a specified amount of seconds. No billing needs to occur that way, it will only dial and then hang up after x amount of seconds. It will also give a battery low alert at a specified level.

The app uses the device's ambient temperature sensor if present else it will use the battery temperature sensor. Please notice that if it is using the battery temperature sensor that the reading is only accurate if:

The device is not under charge.
The device is not drawing a lot of power from the battery.
Leave the screen turned off else the power drawn will affect the reading.

The battery temperature sensor will only give an accurate reflection of the ambient temperature under those specified conditions.

Hooray! Got updated! A marvelous app! Although it's completely simple, but the solitary in its kind. While I looked for an equal substitute, which, by the way, hasn't been found at all, my battery twice found itself in conditions being heated up to 48°C. It's very pity for me the app crashed when started and I'm too glad it's recovered its functionality.

It works well for what I need, but there are a few things I'd change: First, I found out that it won't dial out if the alarm box is not checked. Either make dialing out independent of the alarm (preferred), or gray out the dial out option if the alarm is turned off, so people don't have the false impression that it will dial out. Second, turning down the alarm volume turns down the master volume on the phone, so I can't hear other apps. Please make it work independently. Thank you.

The app works almost perfectly. The problem i have is with the alarm. When you set an alarm sound, it works, but once you click stop alarm, it doesn't turn on again unless you manually set an alarm sound again. Appart from that, i have a suggestion: once the issue above is resolved, it would be nice if there is an option that the alarm turns on only when the phone is not in use, with a 15 to 30 min buffer giving time for it to cool down.

I find that giving an initial low star rating for an app is more likely to elicit a developer view/response so the rating is upgraded to 4* If you're looking for a high/ low battery warning app then this could be the one but the temperature alarm notifications don't differentiate between a low or high temp condition... a very simple thing to fix (hint)

UPDATE: The developer was extremely helpful in getting the app to work on both of my cell phones. He was very responsive to my request for help and provided all the information I needed. I am now using the app to monitor a remote property to make sure the furnace is working. GRATE app - just what I needed at a very reasonable price.

I was very happy to find this but I don't have a room temperature sensor on the device so it works on battery temp. Too bad, it's outdoor temp I want and that would require connectivity to another app. Very disappointing.

I have no idea where this is measuring the temperature but with frost outside my window it's certainly NOT 95⁰ where I'm actually concerned with the temperature. I also have no idea how to change this as functionality is very limited. What zone is this linked to anyways? I wanted something that'd alert me when the temperature outside reached a certain point in MY area, why would I care otherwise?

Media error despite giving all permissions, access. So if you trust it for a critical thing like overheating battery while you sleep this simple bug could burn your house and kill everyone.
