Sound Meter - smart tool-app to measure noise and sound level or measurement of sound pressure level (SPL) in decibels (dB).

To get precise measurements, we recommend, before start using, make app calibration: settings -> calibration (automatic or manual).

This application use the built-in microphone in your smartphone or tablet and results of measurements are shown in the chart.

Sound meter includes the following features:

Ads are actively preventing you from exiting the app Update: I understand the need for Advertising, but at least on my device I am stuck in an infinite loop of "Ad" and "the App", when repeatedly pressing the back-Button, forcing me force close the app from the system-settings, whichbis frankly inexcusable. I even find "exit"-Ads inexcusable, there are better ways!

I haven't compared the decibel readings with any other decibel meter, so I can't vouch for scientific accuracy, but this app does a great job of documenting the decibel readings within itself, so I have a good idea of how noise levels compare with each other. The app works simply and effectively in my experience.

Nicely designed clean, clear interface. Simple calibration process and the result display is no more or less than is required. Updates are not required, so please don't stuff it up. ** Unable to comment on the apps accuracy but suspect it's not too far out on my phone.

Pretty good app if only didn't show Google app Tick Tok caught up in camera shoot I tried rid of it doesn't work Google fault not yours spoiling your app and my shoot of my image to store. Also meter measurement stays can't find how to continue with more meter sounds separately. Any ideas welcome. Not deleting app :as yet looking forward for a reply with kind regards.

Have used similar apps from EXA for long time. Has the ads which you can't blame really the devs on plus is good source for addl quick calibration. Appears a lot of Google LLC employees still use this as PS lists 'pub:EXA'. listing a little questionable as far as physical address but appear responsive. And when considering 'out of control' Google LLC policy violations this app helps mind off ongoing carrier Google CFAA violations.

I have no way to test the accuracy, but it seems to be extremely inaccurate. I was testing a new horn, and it ed only 75 decibels. Phone was very close to the horn too. I was running a bath, app still open, and I noticed it was reading 75-77 decibels. 🤔 Uninstalling.

As an Army veteran battling Parkinson's Disease, my voice exercise is made more meaningful with your Sound Meter app. My speech therapist is better able to measure my voice with your app. Thanks for helping out this 70 year old veteran to voice my feelings.
