SMOU is the app that helps you to get around Barcelona and the Metropolitan Area, providing access to information and mobility services to make it easy for you to move around the city.With SMOU you have in your hands:
- Bicing: plan your route, reserve bikes and take them with smou. With SMOU, you'll be able to reserve a bike and check the availability of bikes and docking points at each station in real time.
- Parking meter: pay for regulated on-street parking quickly, comfortably and without waiting. You pay only for the time you use it, without extra costs and without having to go to the parking meter. You can use it in Barcelona, Badalona, Castelledefels, El Prat de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat, Gavà, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Montgat, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Sant Joan Despí, Sant Just Desvern and Sant Vicenç dels Horts.
- Barcelona Residents: pay and manage the tickets to park as a resident in the Green spaces and/or in the specific parking spaces for residents.
- Parking via app: access off-street car parks with the automatic number plate recognition system, without having to take a paper ticket. There’s no need to go to the tickets machine, you can pay for your stay with your mobile phone! Also, just for paying through the app, you save 30% at BSM Car Parks!
- Taxi: book and pay for your taxi with the app and move around the city in a sustainable way with Taxi Ecològic's 100% electric and hybrid fleet.

- Shared mobility vehicles: locate and check the availability of all motorbike sharing, bike sharing and car sharing services in the city.
- Public transport: check the timetables, stops and stations of Metro, Bus, TRAM, Ferrocarrils and Rodalies.
- How to get there: functionality with which you can see the different itinerary options, with the different means of transport and the duration of each route. So you can choose the one that most interests you.

With the app, you can check the exact location of every shared scooter and bike on a single map.

The prices are the only good thing about this service. The app is slow, unresponsive, lacks animations and crashes often. The bikes are quite often missing brakes. Some areas of the city never have electric bikes and when they do those are marked as out of service. During summer the areas near the sea always either have no bikes or no spots left. Pretty terrible really...

Ridiculous! QR code reader doesn't work on some phones (new ones for that matter). Lack of understanding of travel patterns makes it very hard to find a bike in some areas and fills the stations in others. Makes no sense to walk for 15 mins until I find a bike that I ride for 15 more. You have a bunch of data and don't use it. In the app, please include a cancel reservation button, instead of stupidly punishing s for not making it on time.

Surely one of the worst bike rental services in Europe. The bikes are extremely heavy and often in dangerously bad shape (e.g. slippery rubber tires, failing brakes, bent pedals), it is extremely difficult to report issues with bikes through the app, and they lock you out for 10 minutes if you try to get a replacement, empty/full stations are common, customer service is near non-existent, the app takes forever to load, locking the bikes often requires force which is noisy and unreliable....

With Bicing this app just fails to show correct availability information. Especially frustrating when you spend 15 minutes at night to go to the station that shows bikes as available, but when you come there, all are in maintenance mode (red light). The app definitely should handle this correctly! Sometimes there's no station at all (N30, C/Castillejos, 184), but the app shows available bikes there! That's a shame.

The app takes always almost the full 1 min to open. As well no way to leave bikes in full stations (possible with bicimad) and I just spend today 40min trying to find an available spot for which they than charged me 70 cents because I used the bike more than 30min...

Zero percent reliable. Even when you see available bikes then you arrive to the station and there are not, and suddenly there are no bikes around. You cant go just on time, always leave time for bicing to fail,otherwise you will arrive late.

Regarding bicing: Given that Barcelona is a hill city, the number of electrical bikes should have been higher. The availability of electrical bike is truly an issue. Moreover, often bikes (no matter the type) are broken. It was intended to be used only by residents of Barcelona as a way of transport. After one month of usage, I lost more time searching for bikes rather than using the service.

Not syncing, wrong availability. 1st of all you have to wait 1 min untill bicing stations appear on the map. When they eventually do the info is wrong. You walk to the station only to find out that the available bikes are not unlocking or broken. Go to the next station, same thing. This is not because it is a public service that service has to be bad, should be the contrary, we are all paying. But developpers apparently decided to take public subventions without delivering. Too bad
