This app works out of the box which is nice and having a desktop os on your mobile device is great for getting a PC browsing experience in Android. The fact that this app is free and doesn't require root just makes it all the better. Although, if you want Chrome instead of Firefox, a bit of finesse is required. Also, a feature I would appreciate for my Kindle Fire would be storing filesystems on your SD card. From what I hear though, incorporating that would be borderline impossible.

The best way to install Ubuntu, Arch, and various other Linux distributions, since I can no longer hack myself into these distros using Termux. It is no longer being updated and their servers are unreliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This app is just as fast. For a virtual machine running inside of Android with a 2GHz processor; it is compared to a dual core 3GHz desktop once it has loaded. However, I wish it was native and built the file system in a terminal. It would be faster.

One of the best Linux on Android solutions out there. I use it to run PowerShell Core, and other tools. Easy to configure and run, in fact I configured it while I was on a bus! Recent update added improvements to horizontal cursor keys (which is very nice as Gboard does not have them) making it much easier, but external keyboard is recommended. I do like flexibility that it can be used either with keyboard or on the go entirely on the screen.

I have an Alcatel Revvl 2/Android 8.1.0. It gets stuck on "ing assets" until eventually i get an unknown error that explains an illegal state of some sort. I have cleared the files and uninstalled/reinstalled several times now. But the error persists. *Edit* I haven't been able to use this app for a few days now. I'll leave 2 stars because I loved using it while I could. I'm going to uninstall and maybe check back in a couple months to see if things have changed.

Updated: Not really sure why I had issues first time. Error indicated not compatible, reboot resolved. Very easy to use, very turnkey. For beginners I would recommend this over Termux. X is far easier to set up. Very useable, very helpful. Going to try it on a tablet for larger GUI experience.

Bug? Put in full but keep getting error that is not long enough despite it being adequate length of characters. I am still able to go to sessions and initialize something but it hangs on"starting services". Great concept, clean interface....just needs some bugs to iron out, at least for galaxy note 21.

It's ad free. That's the only benefit. Uses broken methods and just doesn't work like it says. Also, from what I can tell not a clean uninstall. I tried Ubuntu and it mostly worked but some helpful files were missing and it caused a few problems trying to get them. Also, somehow I got it to run inside the app without a viewer until it just didn't? Had too much problems with the Ubuntu and tried debian but that just straightup didn't install. I think this might work on other Android versions tho.

Only beginning in the Linux world. I like using my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab S6) using Andronix with Termux, but I also need a CLI interface for my phone (Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra). Googles advanced protection service blocked Termux from installing/functioning on my phone. I was perplexed with what alternatives would provide a comparable experience. I found Land and it installed on my phone with zero issues. In a short, I was remotely managing hosts within a few minutes!
