Put on some Bluetooth headphones, tap the center button, and you can hear and amplify what your phone's microphone is picking up.

It's also possible to set up an automatic noise-trigger for audio recordings and have them sent to your email.

Whether you want to responsibly audio-monitor your environment, hear the TV and conversations better (non-medical hearing aid), or just listen to birdsong from indoors, Ear Scout amplifies and streams the audio from the mic to your Bluetooth headset (mic-to-headphone) in real time for remote hearing.

HEADPHONES REQUIRED. To avoid audio you need to use headphones.

SAFETY FEATURE. After starting the app the volume increases gently to the set level. This way you have time to adjust to high gain settings from the previous session.

REVIEWS: Please review the app if you try it.

Ear Scout amplifies sound coming from your phone's microphone straight to your earphones (direct mic-to-headphones audio). To fine-tune the incoming signal, use the audio equalizer.

DISCLAIMER. This app is for remote hearing via email / Bluetooth (e.g. listening to nature / property monitoring) and sound amplification (non-medical hearing aid), not to listen in on private conversations. Please use Ear Scout responsibly.

I have used this app many times on many different devices and I have never had an issue with it and it works fantastic I highly recommend it. Also and quite important to me and I'm sure too many other people it's not completely bombarded with ads to the developers of this app thank you very much for providing me with a useful app that works well and isn't completely intrusive with the ads . Cheers!

I can say that by far this is the best app that I have used to maintain my innocence and I will continue to use this app to do so thank you so much for creating this the decibel level thing you got so it automatically records that's awesome it worked out very well my only issue has been how to figure out to share a file or audio recording if you will so I can send it to the right people to maintain my innocence. That has been my only issue.

Ear Scout is a commendable app, don't get me wrong. It certainly amplifies the sound of your device's mic and picks up otherwise faint or distant sounds very well, but I am ditching this app and uninstalling it now that I've noticed the app alone takes up over 1 whole gigabyte of space! That is a deal-breaker for me, despite the fact that I have over 1 terabyte worth of space— seems entirely to large for its functions.

I've used this for a few years and experimented with different ways of using it. Making a cone out of cardboard and putting the narrow end to the microphone can kinda turn it into a parabolic microphone, or at least make it more directional. Works well in conjunction with the "sound amplifier" app. I recommend Audio Lab to clean up any recordings you make. You can greatly enhance any recordings with that app also. There's almost no limit to what you can hear and record between this & that app

OK for noise, NOT for voices. I played with the controls, adjusting everything possible. While I can hear something being sat on a table outside, I can't hear the person talking across the room any more clearly than I can without it. This is the third app I've ed with similar description and looks like I'll be moving to a forth. Figure out a way to cancel out background noise and you'd really have something.

Cool app. Amplifies ambient environments pretty well without blowing out your eardrums-—great for sounds not so much with voices. Like the ability to play with the levels but wish the flexibility of isolating specific sounds or frequencies was greater—but it's a free app so expectations are to be managed accordingly. Latency is kind of distracting and app continues running after closing leaving "Force Stop" the only option for shutting down, for me at least (Galaxy S9 [SM-G960U] Android v10).

Basic functions are frustrating to learn as there is zero instructional information provided. A paid upgrade would be welcomed, as I enjoy the efficiency of the mechanism of how this app performs, allowing me to determine the direction from which sounds are coming, even on other floors of the house, from the basement. It takes patience and is definitely not a knee jerk option for surprise circumstances, but if you're going to be posted up on recon detail or the likewise, EarScout =A+ option!

Always clear adjustable sound, simple and direct, get exactly what you needed with this app. No anoying ads, if they have any I can't seeing them. The best part is if you hook up to your head phones you can leave the recording on and it will continue recording even once the screen times out. Totally unnoticed, all while you are listening from the other room. I've used for a few years now. Best one then and still the best one now. Thanks Ear Scout keep up the great work
