Plusses: it works, and does have the info you need. Minuses: Horrible UI. Stupid number of clicks for information that c/should be available from one screen. Specifically, now casting. I really want to be able to see what's happening at all locations in one view. Awful to try and use while actually on a boat. WindDan set the standard for how this app should have looked/worked. Such a shame it was shut down...

The main reason most people use this app is for the now casting service. This used to work on the old app perfectly. I rely on this feature hugely, and not having it is a safety concern. I am aware the vhf channel is available to listen to, however it takes to long to get to the now casting, plus some bays have fickle reception. This is a decision making tool, and not having it easily available is a hazard.

I used to have my actuals set as favourites. I sail up and down the coast and want an overall picture of what is happening elsewhere. Now I have to do each one separately: a real nuisance. The new layout demands a lot of scrolling. Not ideal with cold, wet hands. I liked the old app and resent having to spend money again on an inferior product. And I HATE the fact that it can't the location I gave it. I NEVER turn on my location except for Maps because I don't want to be tracked.

Awesome app. Quick and easy to use. Easy to update a log report if you end up staying out longer. Especially like that the details (including photos) of you boat, trailer and person are fully recorded in case of emergency. As a paramedic who for many years worked on the Northland Rescue Helicopter, I can not stress enough how important it is getting this up to date information quickly. In an emergency, the information is all here available to rescuers in one app.

Disappointing to come back to NZ and have this clumsy and convoluted app to use for weather info. Very hard to get a good overview of weather, compared to the previous app which was so straightforward, especially when on the water! Please improve useability of this app. Frustrating to pay more money for something so difficult to use.

Oh Woe! Why did you change what wasn't broke??? & Where are the tide charts???The old app was absolutely briliant! The new app is truly AWFUL! Its unwieldy, not friendly, goes all over the place to get anywhere ... & where are the tide charts? Even the nowcasting is a pain as you have to manually refresh it when opening the app as it displays old data. Sorry coastguard! Its a fail. Whoever killed your old & brilliant app should be shot! Bring back the original, please!!!!

Hi The app constantly asks me to log a trip when all I want to do is refresh now casting I'm sure it is not necessary to have such an aggressive log a trip activation functionality however log a trip is an excellence addition to the app and a great move for safety. Is there any chance that now casting can Auto refresh in a future update. Is it possible to create a now casting widget that can have an notification alarm feature when wind speed reaches a set parameter for a set location or two.

When I select Weather, it resets my location to Jellicoe Wharf, Auckland. Then I have to use the map to zoom out to all of New Zealand, zoom in to where I actually am, and select it. It then stays set there until I turn the phone off. Not convenient!
