This app measures magnetic field with an embedded magnetic sensor.
The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 49μT(micro tesla) or 490mG(milli gauss); 1μT = 10mG. When any metal(steel, iron) is near, magnetic field level will increase.
Usage is simple: Open the app, and move it around. The magnetic field level will constantly fluctuate. That's it!
You can find electrical wires in the walls (like a stud detector) and iron pipes in the ground.
A lot of ghost hunters had ed this app, and they had experimented as a ghost detector.
The accuracy depends entirely on your magnetic sensor (magnetometer). Note that it is affected by electronic equipment (TV, PC, microwave) due to electromagnetic waves.

This app is amazing. At first I thought it was fake but when I put metal in front of it it went off the charts, but when I put my hand in front of it nothing happens. Amazing metal detector,but sadly it would be hard to detect anything in a house since everything is slightly medal,so if the object is to far away you won't notice,but it is still an amazing app, you should it and incase you were thinking I'm not a bot and I was not paid to say this,but now me saying that proubable makes you believe me less, ohh well.

I needed a metal detector to find the pins that mark the corners of my lot so I could resolve a property line dispute with a cranky old neighbor. After ing several metal detector apps, I found this one to be the most accurate and have the best interface. I probably looked a little crazy sweeping my cell phone, taped to a wooden pole, back and forth in the backyard, but in less than 10 minutes, I found and exposed the 3 pins I was looking for. Check and mate! Thanks metal detector.

Ok. So I turn it on for the first time,and after calibrating, set it on the couch beside me to see if it detects the metal...which it does nicely. Then as I pick it up, it goes instantly up to 110, then just as fast falls back down to about 66. I've replicated the same movements several times, and it never goes past 70. Not sure what it picked up for those few moments, but it sure made my cat a bit nervous. I have to give 5 stars just for the weirdness, which I very much enjoyed.

Surprisingly cool! Needed to find wires in the wall - the app helped. Also, it located the pipes inside too. The only challenge was I knew the wires and pipes were somewhere in here; if not that, it would have been an issue to actually trace them. For the latter, the app needs a feature to plot high magnetic density areas on a scheme so that you could guess what looks like a wire or a plumbing.

This is a magnetic field detector that only detects magnetic metals such as iron. It won't detect gold or aluminium or other non-magnetic items. It does a fantastic job at close range about 10cm give or take. I advise testing it on a nail to find where your phone's magnetic field is the strongest so you know how to point your phone correctly.

Best app hands down for metal.i use it personally to detect magnetic grave markers beneath the ground have had incredible success at this detecting metal over 14"in away from the phone, using Moto E6play. ed tons and many hours wasted. (This one does work flawlessly), if u looking for silver and gold I'm not so sure you'll have to try that. As far as base metal, this thing is a marvelous charm. I even have a telescopic camera tripod attached to it to use as an actual metal detector.

Wow! It really works. Those who say that it doesn't are wrong. You need phone/tablet with Magnetic Field sensor. Else it won't work. And make sure you are pointing that very part of device where Magnetic Field sensor is located. And if it gets higher (red color) then it means it is metal (or some material with same magnetic field which I don't think exists).

Yes, it really works! I think it only works with those phones whose rear primary camera has an image stabilization function because there is a coil that helps stabilizing the lens, I think this app uses this coil to detect metal. It's sensitivity is very low. It could be even better if there would have been an option to add an external coil using the 3.5mm jack to increase its sensitivity, otherwise it's a good app, you can have a try.
