Bring back the all in app, whose idea was it to separate them. Is there a UX designer in your team? Not to mention all the bugs. Most of the time I open the app doesn't load and I'm stuck with an error message as if I was in the middle of nowhere with 0 signal. Oh and I've had a bug where I can't buy games for the longest time on the app(your loss)

It works for the most part. Appears to be a loading loop bug with the library though. About half the time when you select a game nothing loads unless you restart the app. Update Nov 24. Some new bugs lately, the library is missing some games and statistics (playtime, achievements) say zero on some games. I believe this started when the new family share beta was released. Still 4 stars does what I need with a few bugs.

Nightmare to deal with. I don't play games on here often but when I do, it undoes the "save your information" every time forcing a with a long cryptic that is never used. When utilizing the , it forces the to go through hoops every single time. It never has been simple where you get a code and go on. It has forced me to do a review process that takes ages. I've scanned a photo ID last time. Fed up with Steam and it's over the top security. I'm done.

Couldn't even use it to buy a game. When I tried to buy a game, it made me authenticate with the same app through a different screen. Every time I did, it refreshed the original page requiring me to authenticate again. After 5 times I gave up and just turned on a pc. A lazy app that just loaded the desktop or web code and had no clue what to do when the two factor identification wall came up. (The chat companion app is also constantly unstable, so at least the quality is consistent.)

Usable, but annoying. Some community pages are still not available in a mobile-optimized format. Store videos are clunky to scrub. Product carousels scroll too fast, are too sensitive. Sometimes the return button exits the app unintuitively or returns to the wrong page. External links open in the default browser but also open in the embedded one. (Updated review to 3 stars as many glitches and instability issues have been fixed since launch)

Very buggy app. Very wonky UI. Example: from the store (when I'm actually able to get it to load) I click a game to check it out. Then I hit the android back button to go back, and it CLOSES the app, and there is no other back button. So to go back out to the store, I have to totally close and reopen the app. That's a whole lot of NOPE for me. Valve should be ashamed of this absolute dumpster fire they call an app. There is SO much wrong with this app.

Only thing that consistently works on the app is the store page and even that doesn't seem work half the time. Don't waste your time and system space just get on your desktop and go through steam there. Most of the features available on desktop are not here. Unable to access saved favorites and if I open a guide or discussion on steam from a web browser or messaging service it'll reset the app and take you to your library instead.

Even after all this time, the app will still not allow you to make purchases via PayPal. There have been improvements as you can now enter both email & for PayPal, but it will not progress past the 2FA stage. You click continue & it brings you back to that screen. Baffling that they still haven't been able to fix this. Additional info: app is up to date. PayPal details aren't saved (nor have they ever been). Function is working as intended on Steamdeck so very much seems app specific.
