Incredible app, I am so thankful to the creators for making this one, and I intend on using it a lot for the foreseeable future. I am a performer, a music teacher, and a music student, so I use it personally and professionally. It creates a highly-immersive musical experience that can be scaled from the beginner to the professional level. It has outstanding studio recordings for the backing tracks with no cheesy karaoke or midi sounding instruments. My only request is more marches!

These are decent arrangements and there is a great variety of music. However, you cannot use the background information in a pro public performance for money, so beware. Small performances are allowed, as long as you courteously credit TomPlay for the tracks, if asked. I was pleased with their variety of arrangements, but didn't really find I used them at home enough to warrant the cost. PS I updated this review with another star because they did positively reach out to me. Thank you TomPlay.

I have had this app for over one year. I use it for multiple instruments. I like the variety of scores for most instruments. One that doesn't seem to get anything new added is 'Percussion'. We have a wooden 3 1/2 octave xylophone and there isn't much available for that on this app. For drums, it's pretty good. The vocals are sometimes annoying (not original and sometimes grating). For piano, there is a wide selection of scores from different genres. That's my character limit on the review.

I absolutely love this app. The quality of the recordings is far better than most and being able to select what audio track you want to hear make it easy to play along with. Having a visual indicator of where you're at while playing also helps immensely. The wide variety of available music with constant updates is nice too. The only con I can say is I love playing so much I run out of new songs to play. The library of songs could be bigger, but they are adding more frequently.

I think this application is covering a great idea but have a lot of execution issues. The experience is pretty bad. Changing tempo with slide control when playing with a phone is terrible. Also there is not way to save settings. The cursor is pretty off when you are using a Bluetooth speaker and getting it in sync with sound is almost impossible. I remove it from appearing unchecking the checkbox but I need to do it for each piece I play. There is not way to set that as my default setting. The worse thing I found in the application that made me to cancel my subscription is the sound quality for violin pieces. It is annoying hearing big breaths on pauses or the beginning of a phrase for almost all romantic music. e.g to check: Edgar compositions. I don't know why they didn't filter out those breath sounds. Also, the sounds has for some pieces extra reverberation e.g Bach pieces. I hope they fixed these things and improve the sound quality. I will continue using without subscription with the pieces I got and I will re-asses it in a year to update my review.

Tomplay offers a unique play along ability for musicians. New content has been added several times in the month since i signed up. I am an intermediate level cello student and i enjoy playing along with content on many levels. Practicing scales with duet cello scores is fun and interesting. Many suzuki songs are also included. Highly recommend. I run it on an android tablet and figured out how to use in a day.

Terrible app. Hard to use. The music I just bought isn't showing up there, although it says I can only access it through the app. Then if you the free music, I don't know where it's ed to....it's not on the phone, not in the app. I paid for music, I should be able to access it and print it off to play.

UPDATE: after the recommendation on the latency settings it correct the issue. I couldn't make it synchronized perfect but at least is more playable now. I will continue testing. Thanks to development team for the quick response. ORIGINAL: The reproduction line is completely out of sync with the sound. that's a bummer.
