Overall the app is very good. But a lot of the visual for the rhythm training is very distracting and misleading, so I have to bump it down a couple stars. Edit: I just got to the part in rhthym training where the time signature is 6/8, and the app metronome beats out a frantic 6 beats instead of 2 beats like an actual 6/8 time signature, so yeah definitely earning that three star rating.

This app is great! Very fun and educational ear training and sight reading exercises. I have been using it for a couple months now and I have improved a bunch with my sight reading and interval identification. And the lessons are also very enjoyable. I'll most likely be getting the soon because it's barely any upcharge and unlocks basically everything I could hope for including complicated chord identification, all kinds of intervals up until I think two octaves, which is crazy😂.

I think the drills are nice and all, but the guided course is pretty bad. It's explanations are not very well put together. I had to watch videos elsewhere to understand the lessons that perfect ear tried to teach. You'd go from lesson into an exercise and have no idea what you're supposed to do.

I didn't find this app easy to use at all because it didn't help me learn to sing a note correctly If you fail to sing the note it doesn't repeat the exercise so you can get it right and it doesn't show you where you are in comparison to the actual note that it wants you to sing. I don't need the theory I've already had all of that I just want to pitch check my voice and this app made it difficult confusing and impossible to repeat exercises and to see where your pitches in comparison to whe

A little direction would be helpful. Luckily its rather simplistic. Small flaw that kinda bugs me; on the interval sight quiz, it asked the distance from d# to e#. Problem is that e# doesn't exist. Answer was m2 but as I said, it doesn't exist. Everything else seems pretty good. The sounds are a bit crummy but not unbearable. Good way to refresh basic theory.

This app was made by someone who truly loves teaching. The lessons are clear, not condescending, and have that perfect blend of "what you should know" without a lot of "abstract nonsense" tied in. The exercises are ordered well, and you can do it for five mins at a time, not feel bored. the one irk i have is that the time bonuses are too tight. if you let things play through all the way, you wont get those points. Shame, since they add up to so much and obfuscate that this is practice at EOD.

I would give this app 5 stars because I love it, but it seems they still haven't fixed am error that has been around for at least two years! The Dominant Minor 9th chord is not correctly named. The chord listed has a major third, perfect fifth, minor 7th, and MAJOR ninth. This may seem like a small nitpick, but it shows that after 2 whole years this error still had not been fixed. Other than that I think this is the best ear-training app out there EDIT: Devs fixed the issue right away, thanks!
