Connected device(s) feature no longer works really making it hard to use with multiple devices. I even reset my wfxm5s to factory settings for it to work for a day before mysteriously not working. When the feature worked, it was awesome, but it's really awful with it malfunctioning. Other s have mentioned the same thing in comments.

I like the idea of the new design but wish you can customize it more. LE audio on more phones. Really need to get rid of large amount of space that is reserved just for displaying a image of the ear buds you have. I not sure why two thirds of the screen was even used for this over displaying more settings.

Edit: Uninstalled the app. Headphones connect perfectly again. Just the downside of no touch controls......... . Terrible, a nightmare to use. when I close the app, my settings reset, and my headphones disconnect SO. MUCH. It started off as an occasional disconnect after every 30 minutes or so, but its gotten to a point where its borderline unusable. No, i did not drop them. Yes, i reinstalled the app. Buy samsung pros. They are indestructible. Trust me.

Sony broke the use of these headphones after updating to this app. If you were someone who constantly used the "connect to two devices at the same time" you are aware that sometimes you would have to manually fix the sound to one device. The thing is, it tells you that you aren't connected to those two devices, so you can't exactly toggle between, so now you are stuck not able to hear because it's on the other device.

The visual refresh of the app is actually a downgrade... Features are missing in the new version. My headphones are now less useful. Ex. In the previous version I used to be able to switch which device was playing on the the headphones and optionally lock it to that device... This feature no longer works... Now whenever my headphones get confused I have to restart them and the devices to troubleshoot... Instead of just switching... Major downgrade!

I used to love my WH-1000xm5 and WF-1000xm5s, but now they give me nothing but trouble. The "pair two devices" mode usually stops all audio from coming from one of the devices at random, and just now my headphones turned off unprompted at more then half battery. They take a long time to pair, and will often refuse to hear audio after numerous trials of turning them off and on along with pairing and unpairing them over and over. Pause and unpause unprompted. Repetitive, immersion breaking.

I actually bought my WH-XB900N off a dude on Craigslist and I fell in love w/them. However.. The feelings didnt last long. Why? Well because while the original app worked great w/em & there were zero problems w/the touch pad navigation on the right headphone. I couldnt be more satisfied w/a set of headphones. Until Sony felt they needed to fix something that wasnt broken. i.e. the headphones app. Now its Sound Connect and no matter what i do i cant get the touch navigation to work again.

I've had the WH-1000XM3 headphones for years and loved every second of them. I just bought the WF-1000XM5 buds and the sound quality is great for ear buds, but with the new app update, we lost the sound (VPT) selection. That is what allows the best sound selections for different s. You bring it back for the "fine tune" s you'll have happy customers.
