I'm not sure why this is 4.3 Stars. I've spent a lot of time on language learning apps and tackled language learning from many different approaches. With or without the of technology. In my opinion this was one of the better apps, when I tried it. Pros: Language learning method (for me) is better than most. The way it's committed to memory particularly. Cons: It cost money and may not be as inclusive as other well established apps in of breadth of content.

it's not design for beginners at all. it's beginner option categorizes the learner as having some basic knowledge about the language which if you are a real beginner, not the one wrongfully the app assumes you to be, by the second lesson you are over whelmed. I speak 9 languages but this is the first time I have seen a language teaching method this much off. additionally cost too much considering other apps provide you more fun and divers ways of learning.

Excellent for picking up sentence structure and expanding vocabulary. Especially effective when you have someone to talk to. Since duolingo discontinued tagalog, this is a wonderful replacement if you're trying to learn. Some words don't seem to be spelled correctly (early example: "aleman" and "") and the guided pronunciation segments don't know what to do about it. Will see how it goes in the later sections. Highly recommended for anyone learning tagalog from 0.

This could be a great app, if it were not so full of errors. Often words are in the wrong tense. Often a new word is presented, then when it is used in a sentance a completely different word is used. Some of the translations presented are wrong, others say things in a way a native speaker would never speak. Most of the pronunciation is good, but some words are pronounced as in other Filipino dialects. Some words that change, depending on the previous word use the wrong word.

Grammar, conjugation, and vocab are all poorly explained or not explained at all. They mostly give you complete sentences with an English translation with no breakdown of what each word means. This is especially frustrating with particles and conjugations, as they give you conjugated forms of many words, but never tell you the root word or basic form. And they rarely explain particles and how they correspond to English. I've been using the app for 3 weeks and am not thrilled.

Reed this app to give it another try. I like the interface and the overall set up of the app. However, everytime I do a lesson I get close to the end and the app crashes. I don't get credit for having done anything, and when I try to retake the lesson, it crashes again. I can't move forward through the units. 😢

Updating this just to write that Ling is a very friendly, easy to use, and fun app. A great way to casually pick up languages. I've used a bunch of different language learning apps and this one is one of my top three favorites and it has a lot of great features other apps don't have like the chat bot to practice conversations in a more organic way. Definitely worth ing, trying out, and ing them if you like it and are able to.

Nice app. I've been using it for a few minutes. Barely completed the introduction lesson. I like how it doesn't involve a timer and it gives you a free option where you can ise the app even if you don't pay for additional benefits. I did struggle during the spell game but l loved how help was provided. Watching the tutorial video was really helpful. Thank you.
