Local experts show you the highlights, challenging features, and insights you need to plan a great ride.

• Find more than 77,000 miles of trail to shred with your crew.
• New rides and trails are constantly added to our incredibly detailed mountain bike trail and ride database.
• Your exact location is shown on the trail.
• ed trails work offline for when you’re off the grid. (No cell reception required!)
• Enjoy high-resolution photos and detailed topographical trail maps.
• We’ll sync with your to-do list, check ins, and favorites on MTBProject.com.

By using GPS, we can show your location on trails and vertical profiles. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

It's way too cluttered. There's a "recommended route" that overlaps all of the trails, and as far as I can tell, this is impossible to hide. Additionally, it displays another layer of paths from some mapping base layer (maybe Google Maps), so there are actually three lines being displayed for each segment of trail. All together, this clutter makes the app unusable for me.

It's fine, really. It's helpful to see nearby trails and go try them out. A lot of the ones near me have no photos. I'd like to a photo but the app says to go to the website and the website has no map to speak of or easy way to connect said photos to the trail I wanted to contribute to in the first place. There's value here, but it's inexplicably hidden and convoluted at times.

Best MTB app I've ever used. It has everything you need. Only thing I would add is more ways to find routes from where you are: Hotel, Home based on distance. Also would add better ways to define different entry points or parking spots. It has some, but you have to figure it out a lot. Would be good a dedicated section for ers to explain how they get to the route.

It was a good app a year ago, but some update destroyed the 'save my Ride' feature (NOT to be confused with the adding a new ride area to the app) that used to show the map of the personal ride you saved, now clicking on your saved ride just returns to the homescreen map that doesn't show your ride path, I hung on for months to see if it would be fixed in an update but it never was, deleating app

MTB seems to be dropping the ball lately on updating info on new and/or existing trails. Trailforks seems to be much more current but they want to charge money, boo hoo

Awesomeness for free! If you happen to live in an area that is popular for MTB, this is likely your best bet. It's not as polished as Trail Forks but it's free and imo easier to find complete loops rather than just segments.

Cannot find a way to filter the rides. The website says a menu should offer a filter option, but there is no menu available. The only selectable buttons are "search," toggle map type, location, and top rides. YouTube videos show a hamburger menu option the upper left-hand corner in the top bar. That is not visible in my app and clicking there does nothing.

It used to be so good. All the sudden I can't see any maps or trails unless I'm connected to wifi or data. Not very useful when mountain biking! I have the Colorado map ed, even double checked it, trails still won't show up. Very frustrating. Still helpful for planning trips, but totally useless when actually on trail.
