# Method to recover photos when problems occur
If for some reason Gallery Lock does not run, recovery can be made by following the method below.
1) Uninstall Gallery Lock
2) Gallery Lock from the Market and install it.
3) Go Setting in the Gallery Lock, Tap "Find/Recover Missing files" menu.
4) The missing files will be recovered to /mnt/sdcard/DCIM/recover path.
5) run default Gallery application and check whether those files are recovered properly.

What happened? Used to work ok, now after the update it no longer shows up on the share menu. That was its greatest feature. I even wasted money on the version. ( The free version has the longest, most obtrusive ads I've ever come across). You end up just quitting than suffering through Pick a different app, or use Secure Folder. I'd on this one

I am using the newest version of Android and after activation of the stealth mode, the app won't launch. Instead it's trying to call the * , so i have the visible in the calls list of my phone and on the billing from my network provider. This is so annoying, especially now that I've lost all of my hidden files. If a developer is reading this please fix it as soon as you can.

Works pretty well most of the time, I've had images that have completely disappeared after unhiding them and I've lost everything once when the app couldn't find anything all of a sudden. So if you use it be sure you backup everything. But I've used it for probably 5 years with just those 2 issues so i think it's a solid app. Easy to use.

Wasn't great to begin with. Bought Pro to make it work better, then it only worked a little better. A few years ago the developer appeared to abandon this after taking everyone's money. Every android update and phone replacement has seen it work less and less. Now, you can't even put photos in it anymore. The best you can hope for now is to rescue your photos from this app before it loses them. The good news is that the Galaxy S22 now has a secured folder option. No new app needed.

Always has new problems with each update! Now it won't let me do anything. Unlock press anything and it wants the code again. Meaning I just can't do anything with it. Great app when working, but that is increasingly rare. It would appear the updates are not being tested. Instead paying s are treated as beta testers while the app doesn't get fixed. 5 stars when working, but hasn't done so for the past year.

Started with the free version and moved up to pro it works just like it should never had any issue's with either version. I only have one complaint when you backup to Google Drive it creates folders for the location it came from. Wish would just make one folder called Gallery Lock. Update just transferred to Google Drive and I have just one folder with each of my folders in it. Great job I now have no complaints.

Paid for the app as I really liked it. Been using it for years. Then like everyone else, the update glitch was ongoing. That however, wasn't to annoying. The cruncher for me, was that since this update, I tried to unhide and restore a video, and it completely ruined the video. After it was restored, the video was nothing but pink pixels. Nothing could restore it. Not impressed that for paying customers they have chosen to simply ignore this issue and all the customer complaints...

Please fix your app. I had the false crash notification enabled, and now the screen is black and white when I try to open it, there is no way for me to hold a button to by it, and I have no access to anything I've stored in this app thanks to that. I don't want to reinstall for the fear of losing everything in the app like I've had happen to me before.
