Generally quite good. the plots are not always the greatest, though. Sometimes the camera feature misclassifies problems as word problems, which are locked behind a pay wall. It would be nice if, like the step-by-step feature, one was allowed a few word problems for free, so we could see if the quality of that feature is really worth paying for.

Great app, BUT, recently I have been facing an issue. Issue : The calculator is not able to provide an answer, it states,"The request timed out. Check your internet connection" Suggested feature : Allow us to use screenshots in order to add problems. PS : I have been using this app for almost 3 years now. One of the greatest ever with simple interface and lots of features. I am also grateful for all the free mathematical tools. Edit : The problem has been Resolved. Thank You!!!

It just can solve simple equations. Whenever i click the go button, it says The request timed out. I even have 5g network....

Note to self. It's good, but only allows about 5 explanations before requiring a purchase, and they do not have a lifetime option.

I have been using a free version on a couple of devices for a while, and this is my favorite calculator app. It is possible to handwrite equations, such as e.g. d^2f(x)/dx^2 = -f, and it provides a general solution out of the box (more complex example d^2f(x)/dx^2 = - sin(f(x)) is returned unevaluated). One possible improvement in UI that I would welcome is the ability to type complex math/commands using screen keyboard. Right know, typing something non-trivial on the screen feels a bit clunky.

Based on the new version, it is clear - a much improved pattern recognition system in reading problems with the camera. Compared to the Microsoft Maths solver, the camera opening is wider, thus the failure rate of reading in images is lower. And given that it can solve problems the Microsoft product cannot, it is nearly THE go-to app. However, there is one feature that makes the Microsoft product more usable - the ability to write / draw the problem on the screen. Please add this ability!
