Connection requirements:
To connect a smartphone to the e-bike with Hyena riding assist system via the Hyena Rider Assistant (HRA) and access the full app functions, the following condition is required: Genuine Hyena e-bike system kits with all components using HAP 2.0 protocol, equipped with a Bluetooth integrated HMI (LED Multi, LED Chip, LED Compact EX).

Bike Overview – Manage your e-bike and smart parts easily:
Riders can easily select and connect to their e-bikes for checking the status of all the components and updating the drive system firmware from a smartphone.

Dashboard - Personalized cycling computer:
Hyena Rider Assistant provides everything riders need to read during their efforts. Select from 15 different riding information cards to the dashboard freely, e.g., current speed, average speed, odometers, range.

Range Map - Planning the ride smartly:
The “Range Map” function allows riders to plan the cycling route based on the remaining battery level and riding level. The map also shows up all the available bike service stations, riders can find their best match shop by the filter.
Bike Reviews _Data Analysis:
Riders can check the precise ride data after their efforts, including weekly, monthly, and annual overview of riding and health status, history routes, and so on. All the data are collected in the cloud database.

Smarter security :
When equipped with Hyena iLock, riders can unlock the e-bikes by biometrics, code, or set it to ive unlock mode. Once the smartphone is connected to the bike via Bluetooth in 2 meters, the e-bike will automatically unlock itself.

When equipped with Hyena iShift, riders can apply customized gear settings via the app. During riding, the derailleur will automatically switch to the suitable gear based on current riding conditions detected by the e-bike drive system.

I love this all shows your speed and route, I do wish it would show your route as you are riding it instead of just after you're finished. It would also be great to input a destination and have the app be like a maps system and show Me how to get there.other than that, its easy to use, easy to read, speed, calories, direction are all great, batteries levels and bike systems control are easy to see

I found it easy to connect and upgrade everything, and it works well to show current speed and distance, overall distance, charging cycles etc. But there are problems. The map doesn't track my ride, and when I look at my recent activity, nothing is recorded. Also, on the activity review, when I looked at the Weekly Activity (again, with nothing recorded), it shows that every day of the week is Thursday. And if I do more than one trip in a day, it shows it as one trip rather than a new ride.

The app is okay. It could use some simplification and an update, as it is a bit buggy. Some features that should work are not doing anything when pressed, while other features cause the app to freeze. I am very disappointed, so I would not recommend it. Zero out 5.

Connecting the app to the bike is quite a challenge. Can find the bike through Bluetooth on the phone but says I need an app to use it. If you manage to get the bike connected, it usually connects OK there after once you turn the bike on and open the app.

Does not work at all. Tried over and over again to connect app to my bike. Just will not connect. Disappointed as I've ivested in a new bike and hyena are just letting us down. I can't see the point of them advertising there products to go with the bike. When in reality it does not work. Happy with my new bike as it is. But annoyed that hyena app doesn't do what it's meant to. Does absolutely nothing.

Ok when it works. App as basic and easy to use but the connection between the bike and app is a bit hit n miss. Sometimes it would connect and disconnect which also messes with the light control at night making it a danger but when it works it's really good. Maybe the issue could be fixed in the next major update?
