A vicious trap, ha! All starts well until you realise the free version only lets you finish the project but won't allow you to open it again unless you take yearly subscription. All this for an app that do recognize patterns but won't automatically take the measurements. You have to click yourself, with all the error margins it involves. Cannot take decimals either so forget about precision. You end up with a funky polygone whose measurements you'll have to correct manually. Time waste. Ew!

Measuring is ok, but you can't save your measurements unless you pay a subscription which is terrible. Also you can't add nodes and the last node automatically snaps on the first node making it impossible to measure something small near the start of your measurement. The snapping of right angles is also annoying since most buildings aren't exactly straight and there's no option to turn it off. Finally after the first measurement you are forced to rate the app with no "close" button on the popup

I only needed the app to get the measurements and volume of a couple of rooms and it worked VERY well for that. When you have a clearly patterned ceiling or floor it works like a dream. I didn't use all functionality but for measuring rooms it's a very handy tool. One thing I couldn't find out was when you measure a room, you add it to a floor plan, but one room did not have the right orientation on the plan, and I couldn't find an option to rotate it.

Really bad. They pretend to have a free service but they lock any scans behind a pay wall meaning you can technically take scans for free, but you can't actually see them. It is also annoying to use and inaccurate, even for conceptual use.

Great solution for mapping spaces, and very useful in general. It's made so it's very easy to use, but at the same time options are limited: there's no way to add a door or opening once you're finished mapping an area for instance, so you need to do the whole thing with all details in one shot. Only a few bugs to notice: sudden phone moves result in the app fully losing track of what's where and there's no fix but starting the space over. None of my rooms turned out square despite auto option.

I started trying the 3 days trial. The app looks like having great potential but I found very hard to get anything measured correctly. The app keep going back to surface detection and God forbid you press the back button it will freeze on the 'Rate us' prompt and the only way to get out is closing the app and launch it again just to get the surface detection tool again. Sorry, it's still easier to get a tape measurement and do it manually. Maybe later.

It's an interesting app, not that intuitive to start with, until you realise that the first thing you're being invited to do is to measure the floor dimensions. A quick introductory walk-through or a descriptive set of instructions would really help, to get you started! Eg, after you've set the ceiling height the app tells you to define a node. What's a node? Well it's a floor corner, not a ceiling one - you go round the room. But aside from the learning curve it's a clever piece of software

My goodness. Is anyone making these type of apps for the little DIY people? Everybody wants subscriptions. What happened to the purchase outright or limited functions or ad based? Alot of us DIY'ers can't afford the monthly fee's especially since the gov't created the out of control economy. Not picking on the Devs here particularly, this just happened to be the 5th app testing out today with the similar pay structure. For its ability to measure a room and create a floor plan it works great.
