Update: did not like the update. It added a lot of features which was good but it also took away a lot of features. For example my "all on" or "all off" button used to be large. Now when I touch it it keeps thinking I'm trying to edit it. You've reduced it to a very small square instead of it being unthinkable and being able to touch the large portion of it. It should be pressed to hold if you want to edit or somewhere else in a menu. I still luv govee, just don't overcomplicate the app.

Set up of new devices is very easy and straight forward. The app is fairly bloated though and it takes a bit to figure out where everything is. Not always very intuitive. I've had the previous version for only a few days and was starting to get comfortable, and now the app has been overhauled with the new update. I can't find the ed DIY themes for my devices :(

Very slow now! Just updated to the most recent version with the new layout. It's no longer quick and easy to do something s simple as turning on/off my grouped lights for my bedroom, or any single device. I rarely feel the need to write a review, especially a negative one, but now it takes 5 to 6 seconds for an action to and complete, and that's after I navigate to the "shortcuts" page. Please take me back to the old version

This new update completely ruined the ease of using automation. It used to be a tab at the top of the home page. It is the most common thing I need to access in the app. It used to be just the press of one button to get to it. Now I have to click through 4 different screens & tabs to get there, and there's not even a way to add the automations to the shortcut screen! Ridiculous! Such a disappointment.

The recent update is TERRIBLE. The automation is VERY difficult to find. I just happened upon it hidden in the "Shortcuts" setup area... but you can not set it as a shortcut... This was the most used function on the app set aside seeing the diiferent lighting options. I usually dont write reviews but have to help get the word out on this step backward in functionality.

After the latest update the app is full of bugs. Groups no longer work to turn on/off multiple devices at the same time. Single devices don't work using the on/off button, you have to click the device wait 20 minutes for it to connect then turn it on/off. This app worked perfectly fine before and function press was instant, I don't know what you've done to slow down and break this app overnight but please undo the damage.

SHOULD BE ZERO STARS: Most recent update broke connectivity between lights and app. Basically useless app. I have no fine control over these lights just the basic presets given to you by the app, or even more random presets that govee shows you 12 of at a time. Thats the entirety of their "DIY". I would have been better off with a physical remote control with 30 buttons like most other cheap lights come with. If you're considering buying govee lights because of their app, I don't recommend it.

The new app is garbage. They took away functionality, and made what functionality that still exists a lot harder to use. DreamView doesn't exist anymore. I mean it looks like it's there, but it's just videos. There used to be categories, and pre-designed options within those categories. All that is gone. You have an option to create your own, but then I am told I don't have any eligible devices. Nevermind the fact that I was using it all the time previously. Just a stupid stupid update.
