Functional and actually quite nice from a perspective. However, all the content is slowing being locked behind a $60+ book purchase that will sit on a shelf that never gets used. I won't rate higher until some bare minimum functionalities are offered for free. Otherwise the app is fine if your army doesn't have a codex yet or you have a code.

Everything is being locked behind multiple pay walls, including units. In order to make more than one list at a time, you will need a subscription. In order to view any rules for an army whose book has been released, you will need to purchase said book. This includes the units. You can't even view what a unit is equipped with, or what they do, or how many models are in the unit, unless you buy the book for that faction.

Honestly, with as much as we pay for Models, Books, etc this app should be free along with the quality and everything it has to offer. Aside from that the devs seem tk be getting lazy and sloppy with the updates. For example and just to name a few: combat patrol, the FAQs that are released are never implemented into the game mode and it's never said wether the FAQ changes apply to said game mode or not. If two White Dwarf magazines are published with a Combat Patrol they'll add 1, not the other.

Anti-consumer practices abound! You have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for models. Fine. Have to pay for subscription to use app. Cool, I get all the rules, right? Nope! You have to pay MORE money to access rules. Around $60 USD per army for a book that will only be valid for 6months-2 years. There are 27 different armies. Around $1500 to access full rules.

The app is great when you can use it. There is "problems" (app doesn't tell you what that problem is) when I try to sign up for a my warhammer ; even if you get into the app there is 0 way to see rules or make lists unless you ALSO buy a $60 physical copy of the rules you want. No subscription to access rules, no way to purchase digital access to rules, you MUST buy a physical rulebook which requires ing FAQs since the books are outdated on purchase. Started good, ended awful.

Being able to quickly look jp various rules like the difference between different damage types is super helpful, but with how much content is essentially paywalled at a minimum of $60 per faction (as you need each respectively codex), I can't really recommend the app. Plus, from what it sounds like, subscribing gives you access to previous editions, making it feel kind of pointless when everyone is playing the most current edition.

Pretty greedy folks at Game Workshop. I am very disappointed in the overall concept of the app. Would be much better and make more sense if the list builder was a separate one-time buy and the subscription gave access to all the codex's. $60 a year for just more slots on a list builder that doesn't even let you view the details of the army is scummy. I do, however, really like the UI and design of the app.

All is VERY helpful once you get used to it. Updates are timely with each new balance dataslate or rules commentary. Basic rules section really needs to be reorganized. Request: PLEASE add the Boarding Actions rules and detachments. I'm really excited to play the new game mode but it would be so much easier if the rules were included on this app.
