The paid version of this app is for mobile only. You have to pay $59 for the desktop version, and that's not even with upgrades. Don't waste your time or money.

No Speed Test? Let me repeat that. Speed Test does NOT do speed. I have used Dozens of Speed tests, including web based, stand-alone apps, Mobile apps, ISP provided tests, on all 3 major Operating Systems. I have Never seen a speed test the DID NOT HAVE SPEED. I would give it less than 1 star if possible because of this.

Worthless app, and their customer was unfortunately very unhelpful. Edit: I appreciate the response, but I think asking to be able to store the project files (in the desktop app, not the freemium mobile app that I'm reviewing here) somewhere else than appdata folder was a reasonable request.

I had an issue while being connected to a 5 GHz band steering network, then it did not show the 2.4 GHz version with the identical SSID until I disconnected from the 5 GHz SSID.

The heatmap part of the app is under a paywall. I ed it just for this feature, expecting it to be working, based on the name and example images. Well, you can't use it without paying. Without this it's just a basic channel analyser - and for that purpouse there are other apps with better UX/UI. I'm all for ing the devs for their hard work, it looks great in the pictures. But it should be paid app, not free app and then find out it's a paid "feature". Uninstalled right away.

Very easy to use and great for showing basic info about what other WiFi access points are contending for specific frequency ranges, and who strong your signal is for a given access point anywhere in your home. I used it to setup my extender instead of using the manufacturers app that only tells you "you can locate a little farther", which is not really useful, and NetSpot provided the info I needed. I also like the speed test feature which provides more good information, because signals strength and speed are not always in alignment on a wireless network. Overall, very easy to use and provides the information most people would need for setting up a home network.

Very useful. I was able to fix network issues by pinpointing channels with interference. Instead of using the normal 1 6 11 , this tool allowed me to find the right channels to avoid neighbors devices. I turned off weak and low signal scanning because those would not interfere with me. All the features are very well planned.

If you're trying to get a wifi heatmap don't bother. They let you map out the data points around your building/house but don't display any real readings. Then they make you export it into a .NETSPU file that you can only access with their paid desktop software which cost at least $50. "Wifi Analyzer and Surveyor" is 100% free and gives you a halfway decent heatmap.
