For a free app this works adequately for most of its functions, though some cleaning jobs are done without first listing all items to be deleted. It is not right to clean items without the 's informed consent. The must have full control of what any app does, especially one can delete folders and files. I am thus wary of 'Automatic Cleaning' option where there maybe no indication before using it, which items will be "cleaned". Resolve this important issue so I can award 5stars.

I used the previous version a while ago and it was the exact opposite of this one: efficient and discreet. Now it just pops ups notifications and alerts all the time just to make me open the app and see ads after ads after ads. If i want to see commercials for nothing i can just turn on a tv. No thanks. Uninstalled.

While the simple features like quick clean seem to work just fine, more advanced tools are problematic. I wanted to optimise all my photos (roughly 7000 photos) but the process stopped somewhere in the middle and it didn't delete the original files. This happened multiple times creating an extra 4000 photos which I don't even know where are.

The latest changes have made the App almost unusable. I accept there are ments for the free version, but some/many of these ads are difficult or impossible (e.g. for some games) to leave without quitting the App completely and starting over again. Also the latest version now gives me options like buying (fair enough) but when I choose basic cleaning it does not accept this choice and recycles to the same screen dialogue. Over the last year these problems are much more frequent.

I don't normally write reviews, and this will likely be the only one I make. But genuinely, do not use this app. It's managed to delete 9 GB of data in a folder I specifically didn't touch nor did it even come up in the "cleanup review" options. I lost 9000+ photos, videos, music files, and other files in the span of 3 seconds- and THEN there's no ability to actually try and restore any of it. Actually malicious, garbage app. It's good for cleaning out your RAM I *guess* but it's not worth it.

Been using the app for 5 years and was initially impressed by how functional and time saving it was. Most apps these days take up a lot of space, so it was helpful to have an app that could solve that problem. However, the app is kinda mid now. Can't even clean unwanted and hidden files etc, without sending me back to the quick clean section everytime I choose finish cleaning. An absolute waste and scummy tactic to force you to spend money when they previously allowed you to use "free" .

My phone was a real mess...It was suggested by a friend that I use Avast Cleanup. I then uninstalled every other free app that didn't seem to be doing anything. After doing this I seemed to see less ads for cleaning (that were driving me crazy). I still get pop up ads sometimes 14 in an eight hour day...don't know how to get rid of these but it is better than before.

Used to work fine even if the ads were annoying but when I tried it on my new phone it deleted files I didn't select, including all my photos, audio, s... yet it didn't delete the photos in the trash. I am very upset and have found no way to recover those important files. It even deleted my backup file. edit to say that I did double check and review the list before cleaning.
