Hit the Button Math is an app designed to help develop mental math and calculation skills.The app is aimed at 5-11 year olds. There are 166 different game modes of varying difficulty so it is useful throughout grades K-5. Answer as many questions as possible in minute-long games, or you can now practice without the pressure of a countdown timer. Questions are randomly generated which means it is very replayable. The game has been carefully designed for children, with large, widely spaced buttons. We recommend that young children play on a tablet.
Six main topics are covered:
* Times tables - up to 10 or 12
* Division - up to 10 or 12
* Square numbers
* Number bonds
* Doubling
* Halving
Between these topics, the four standard arithmetic operations are covered: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
You can create up to 30 player profiles per device to track an individual's scores. If you prefer there's also the option to play as a guest. All data is stored locally on your device so you don't have to worry about privacy issues. We've also made it very easy for children to quickly switch between profiles after playing a game, if they're sharing a device.
After each game, the score achieved is displayed along with the child's high score. Bronze, silver or gold stars and trophies are awarded depending on the score achieved in each game.

Just superb. It's brilliant for primary age children. My kids love it. I've a suggestion for an improvement, though. As a parent, I'd love to see the last half dozen results (with dates) for each child on each quiz type, perhaps alongside the "best ever" score. Other than that it's perfect. Top marks to the creators!

Absolute classic even though it's £3.49, but it's definitely worth it even after the age of 11. Keep up the nice work!

Looks OK, but the edge of the screen strobes at quite a quick rate. This detracts from the experience and could potentially be a health problem. Seems my phone had a sizing issue that caused strobe at the edge of screen. Issue seems to have gone away on subsequent reloads.

I would hand my phone to my kids when they were bored in the car, at home or waiting in line. They were able to learn their math tables really quickly using this app. I tried flash cards too but that required me to have free time and was not as effective or fun.

For a kid it's torture but in the mean time it's an OK app for maths, if your heading towards year 9 or grade 9 year you say it then this app could possibly only help with times tables and stuff like that / the maths basics

I think it is amazing but maybe in the mode hit the answer the game will show the button for a 10 seconds so you know where button is where.

Good way to learn multiplication.But there is no fun. If there would be fun like playing a game if you get all qeutions right.Then I would like to practice multiplication
