This is a terrible app. Some ads are certainly warranted but this app gets stuck in an all-ads loop that never ends. That's in addition to shutting down at varied times for no reason. It may be worth it to pay for the ad-free version but based on the poor performance of the free version, it's wise to avoid it all together.

I have used the paid version on this app for three years. This app is very expensive over $100. I have justified if because I use it during football season to Synch with tv and when traveling. However, the incessant tune in ads are covering up the actual plays and delaying the audio from my station. Definitely NOT HAPPY. May not renew.

Ruined content. Station actually ceased to exist or whatever after making me listen to several minutes of ads...in the middle of the show I was listening to. Jump to another station, many many more ads, that station lied about what was playing...it was some other nonsense... Only for me to jump to a THIRD station, several more ads, just to finally find the show I was listening to in the 1st place... All while also having to listen to several ads the radio stations themselves were playing.

App likes to shut off at random times for no reason (my phone is just sitting there). The ads have gotten WAY out of hand! I understand that the creators of the app need to make money, but 5+ minutes of ads before the stream will even start... Then a few minutes of ads every 10 minutes or so. So frustrating. Oh yeah, then sometimes the same ad plays back to back to back.

Edit: DO NOT USE THIS APP. it's a waste of time. now ads run for 15 plus minutes and then about 5 minutes of live news followed by 5+ minutes of ads AGAIN. Ads interrupt the program and repeat. --- Used to be a good experience. Now it's just dropping connection all the time and then restarting ads. Three times in a row today the stream failed, played more ads, and then failed again. Can't listen to anything anymore.

Quite possibly one of the worst apps ever. Constantly dropping which means I'm forced to listen to more ads each reboot. And this week, constantly trying to upsell the package. I only need to use this app once a week in the fall to listen to my team's radio network. I think I might be better off just driving back to home state and listening to my car radio.

Ad Algorithm flawed. Tried to enjoy TuneIn after years of absence, and ad penalty for exploring streams too cumbersome. For example, start station one, listen to multiple ads, listen to music for a minute, decide on a new station (or stop stream momentarily to talk to a friend) and resume - another round of ads. Last straw was TuneIn's own Smooth Jazz station. 6 or 7 ads. Kept thinking they would stop and they didn't. 10 min of listening = 2 min music, 8 min ads. Uninstalling the app now.

I dropped my rating to 2 stars, I have been having a lot of problems listening to pod casts especially with spotty cell service. In the past the app would pick up where it left off after some buffering; now the screen goes gray....I have to back all the way out and start the pod casts from the beginning. I am a daily that uses the app 10-12 hours per day.
