I love this app! Been using it for 2 years in the Tainan area and it's been really helpful as someone who hasn't mastered reading Chinese yet. The only time I've had trouble was to clarify for the driver what the street is called, because sometimes copy pasting from my phone is only pingyin to them (they prefer original Chinese characters).

If you are in Taiwan and ever take taxis, you need this app. It makes it way easier and way safer to get taxis. I had so many shady taxi drivers before, but since this app offers some ability with the rating system that you can see when you pick your driver I haven't had any problems. I've gotten a lot of wonderful drivers through this app. You can also reserve a taxi in advance very conveniently, and can specify certain requirements for a driver (English speaking, non smoking, etc)

First time today and tried twice because the bus did not show up according to the time. Is easy to find driver but the only issue is the apps does not show accurate time. When it shows driver will arrive 3 mins but when i click accept I only to find out the driver is super far away and is impossible he can reach in 3 minutes. Yes, indeed the driver arrive at around additional 15 mins. I was kind of disappointed a I can just easily flag another cab ing by but the 3 mins make me think twice.

Great for English s. Easy to find taxis or private hires. Has options like "non-smoking" car, pers friendly etc. The app will send out your requests to the drivers nearby and let you choose the driver. Met a driver in taichung, rounded up the fare conveniently without telling us upfront saying its short distance and he has to open the boot for us. Didn't on his meter. Didn't help with the luggage also. still confirm the fare before boarding.

Great app. One of few that is offered in ENGLISH. Often when there are no ubers in remote times/locations,they're still around somewhere. Easily navigable even without instructions. I LOVE that the taxi can be scheduled. I LOVE that, unlike uber, the option of adding multiple locations without having to schedule them is there with the driver because the meter is running. All the cars I've been in are well kept and clean with some extras. Driver differ but no complaints.

I've used this app for well over 20 taxi bookings in the Changhua and Taichung areas (over a 2+ year period, now). The app is great, with very minimal awkward English - super useful for us expats who haven't mastered reading Chinese yet. Even better for those people who can only do cash transactions, since you can use the app without giving it credit card info. I've even used the app to order a taxi for a friend before. I've never had any problems with any of the drivers, either.

This is Taxi Taiwan app that is usable in English. You can pay for taxi using Google Pay. It also shows estimated fare. Just keep in mind that when you select destination "drop off location" - choose recommended option "search address or landmark" and then it uses google maps search and will also find address written in English (do NOT use Input Address option as it will not understand English).

There are too many features that aren't relevant, that make the app time consuming and frustrating to use. If you can manage to get a taxi (you often can't), it sometimes doesn't show up. Even if you know where on the map you are or want to go, you usually still have to manually input an address, making the map feature pointless. The time estimates of when the taxi will show up are really off, 3 minutes (it's always 3 minutes) usually means 10-15 minutes. Use Uber instead if you can.
