I especially love the connectivity speeds! If you're late for your va video connect appts you can't blame the app that's for sure! Plus, the va video connect app is literally compatible and just as efficient on any device! I've connected on several mobile, tablet, laptop, desktop, Samsung Television-literally with ease! The only thing disturbing is why aren't all apps like this?! usps,fed-ex, rockauto, etc. Could definitely learn a thing or two from this app specifically! Great job!

I just ed this app to get ready for an appointment, and upon opening the app it keeps telling me that an update is available. When you the app, it already comes with the latest updates, it doesn't an old version and then update. It also keeps popping up about permissions I already granted it. Other than that I don't know if it works because I haven't had my appointment yet but it's not sounding well due to previous reviews.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. When it works it is an OK way to remote in to a medical appointment using your Android device. For example, I am in Maryland, & the VA provider is in Georgia. When it doesn't work, you have just missed a medical appointment (something the VA seriously does NOT want you to do.) Very useful, but still needs work in the areas of connection reliability and ease of use. Note to VA developers: a version that works well on Chromebooks is VERY desirable.

I've tried this app on multiple different devices for several different appointments...I can hear my provider but they can never hear me. I've checked my settings on all the devices (cell phone app, tablet, computer) and it still never works. I'm a tech savvy person and have tried connected to different networks. Have had all telehealth appointments scheduled for in person from now on. The WORST APP EVER!!!

So here's the issue. It works fine when in the process of making calls. After leaving a call, my microphone will no longer be usable, period. Not for Google assistant, nor for calls or anything. My microphone is completely disabled. I even tried changing settings in my phone, or force closing this app, it did not work. I have to restart my device to get my microphone to work again. I have a bad memory, so I may forget, and then when I make or receive an important call, nobody can hear me.

I'm writing this review for all other Veterans trying to use this app. It's actually very good once you get it working. the app, go into the phone settings under Apps. Find Va Video Connect in the search bar. Tap it and scroll down to Defaults . Tap Set As Defaults then tap Open ed Links, then get out of it. Now all links sent by provider in email or message, will open app. This works for Androids. Hope it helps!👍

It's 100% true that after you're done with the call, your microphone doesn't work after. I tried using text to speech, and it didn't respond. Just had my husband call me while sitting in front of me. He couldn't hear me from his phone. Other than that, the video call portion worked just fine. I was able to hear and see them, and they were able to see and hear me as well.

If you can connect to it on a phone, a tablet, through your computer etc. You should be able to connect over the TV. I have a Google smart TV so why can't this app work on that? Also I have a Google phone and I can cast pretty much anything but for some reason I cannot cast the telehealth appointments. Why does the VVC app not allow casting/screen mirroring? For appointments like yoga or Tai chi it would be nice to see the instructor on my much larger TV screen. We have the technology?!
