This is my go-to app for cycling fitness. If you want to see measurable improvements in your riding strength, cardiovascular ability and overall fitness, this is it. Riding instructions from coach Chad, and immense catalog of workouts keep it engaging over time, but really, it's seeing the results come to fruition when you get back outdoors that really makes it worth it. I've tried Zwift extensively, but decided to stick with Trainerroad. Bonus: of the app in minimal mode and watch their weekly YouTube podcast.

I was skeptical, but I followed the master's program all winter (3.5 hours a week) along with doing some other activities. Road 3.5 hours outdoor today like a walk in the park. This app is the real deal. It's well worth $20/month to have spring riding be enjoyable. The workouts are varied, the commentary is interesting, and the app provides motivation to keep you going. It's always got me at the edge of what I can handle. Perfect.

I use Trainer Road for both my outdoor and indoor rides. The AI adaptation always provide a great training workout for my level of fitness, adapting them up when I get stronger, and adapting them down if I have slacked on the bike and skipped a bunch of workouts. I have been using it for at least 4 years, and I only see improvements: on the app, the data, the workouts. Very much recommended.

Love the whole program. The main issue is that I have a triathlon training plan on the calendar. I cannot view the detailed workouts on the app. It redirects me to the website and frankly the mobile web interface for swim/ run workouts is clunky/ slow at best. Downgraded app to a two. Trying to add a workout on the mobile interface is too frustrating.

Excellent app, it's easy to use and works smoothly, but the best part is the training content. It includes a large number of workouts that are organized into training plans with various goals. Workouts include drills to improve positon, cadence, breathing, pedaling efficiency, etc. The app has dramatically improved my motivation for indoor training this winter. Doing the sweet spot base plan improved my FTP from 270 to 307.

I have tried using the Android app a couple of times in past, mostly gave up after some issues and switched to Mac app when possible due to instability. Today I didn't have an opinion so I went with the app for one hour workout. I can the app crashing or stop working at least 3 times, just froze twice and one time the ant sensors dropped and had to kill the app and reopen every time. thanks for making the app and also adding resume functionality, can definitely make it better.

Last year I really dove into TrainerRoad and had the application generate a custom training plan. I don't think I ever had a stronger year in the bike. I generally take a little riding hiatus in the winter, but this year I'm starting earlier and plan on breaking multiple PRs for races and shooting to get on the podium in my age class. If you want to get faster and have the equipment, nab this app, but be warned it never gets easier, you just get better.

The best cycling training app. Great training plans for cycling and triathlon, tons of workouts, syncs with TrainingPeaks, no unnecessary gimmicks, all is done to make you a stronger cyclist. Compared it with sufferfest and zwift. Sufferfest doesn't have training plans (unless you pay extra), and zwift is just a really weird multiplayer game. The only downsides I noticed is that android app sometimes silently crashes on start, and non-cycling workouts can only be opened in the browser.
