I love Libby. I've used it for years and it's really amazing. It's so easy to use and my library has acquired copies of so many books, it's rare I don't find something on Libby. Unfortunately the latest update has made it impossible for me to listen to an audio book using headphones. When I try, it continuously plays and pauses, over and over, multiple times a second. I unplug my headphones, it plays normally. Plug them back in, same thing. Bluetooth works fine but wired headphones break it.

I love how diverse the collection is, along with the features that make it easier to use, but I've had a recent problem where I can't get any audio book or ebook to load. It says that my internet isn't working, it is working. To fix this, I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, removing my library card and adding it back, etc, none of which worked. The inability to load the books defeats the purpose of the app, so I would like for this bug to be fixed as soon as possible. Thank you!

I recently had some frustration with this app. It wouldn't load and just gave me a "retry" button with the only other option to submit a help request. My expectations for tech on any app are almost zero. Imagine my surprise when I quickly got a response with a very lengthy and detailed list of options to try and a real person to if that didn't work. Unheard of!!! I would give them 5 stars for that alone. But the app is fabulous. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

Overall, reasonably easy to use. The customization options are great, lots of accessibility features as well. Holds sometimes lapse with little notice; I got a notice that a hold for a book I'd been waiting for lapsed because I "didn't borrow it in time". The notice that it was ready and the notice that it had lapsed happened early Sunday morning, while I was still asleep. Pretty bogus to wait months, have a hold lapse while you're asleep, and have to start back at the end of the line.

After the update the lock screen interface is now messed up. There are no rewind and forward buttons anymore so I have to unlock my phone to do so. My listening experience while I'm laying in bed, driving, cleaning, etc has been made more difficult and less enjoyable. This started after the recent update. Besides that I love the app and use it daily throughout the day/night.

I love this app for accessing books from home, especially memoirs read by the artists. I get reminders when it's my turn on the waiting list and I can see it immediately rather than having to go to the library. I can read on my phone or tablet and it works really well. My only criticism is the difficulty changing search settings, especially when I want to switch from searching for e-books to audio books.

This app is way better than it has any right to be. It's one of the most thoughtfully designed apps I've ever used, and seems to have managed to build a better experience than companies like Amazon. Audiobooks, finding books, reading... All are super well done. It's clear that they thought through the experience completely, and implemented the design flawlessly. Amazing job.

11/05/24: App no longer works. Opens, but won't play my audio books. 10/28/24: 3 stars. App is slow, but functional. Recent update hasn't made it better. Why would you change the order of the control buttons? In all other audio mediums I've used, the play button is in the middle. Moving it to the left and moving all of the other is no longer intuitive.
