While heat advisories are in effect, the 10-day forecast shows the possibility of snow. Update8/10/24 - 3 years later and they still haven't fixed the maps and radar at the bottom of the weather page - what a waste of space and my time

I rely on this app daily. But some features do not work at all. The other maps like 10 day forecasts , are never current. It is now mid-July, and it shows a map of a 10 day period that has Labor Day in it! And lightning does not work on the current map. Quite frustrating as there was a strike at my home and I really wanted to see it it was a single happening or a first of many.

**update** app just lost another star because lastest change has filled the news feed with ads and clickbait. I just want local news and weather quickly & accurately. Old app had a choice of push notification topics. I don't want pointless sports updates but I do want to know if something important is going on (severe weather, active shooter in the area, etc) I miss the separate weather and news apps.

I've had this app, on and off, for a few years. It was glitchy and didn't have the best features at first but the last year has shown a vast improvement. It's a much better app. I do look at it daily. It's safe. Nothing ever too extreme even if the news is horrible. Headlines are very clear so I know what stories I shouldn't open because they will cause undue stress.

Why am I being subjected to commercials every time I leave the app and return back to live news???

12/28/2019 update: it looks like they have updated their permissions to be more in line with the service the app provides. Will update again once I've used it a bit. Why does NBC need access to my s? Too many apps are starting to include access to s and it seems like they explain further why they need that info.

The update is awful. The weather is not easy to read. I want to know what the temp is going to be, not just what it is at 7am then have to scroll through tiny font timeline to see temp throughout day. I couldn't find anywhere to put the temp back up on my home screen. The coloring of the app is harsh. And inundated with adds Won't be my go to app for weather and news anymore.

Old app was far better. Liked it opening up to the most useful feature... the doppler radar. As others have said, the radar now works poorly, doesn't refresh correctly when zooming using the Live Radar and regular Radar buttons does little or nothing. Fix the radar refresh and add an option like you had in the old app to open right to the radar!
