Although the UI is improved, operationally this is not as robust as the previous app. As I fill out this review, the furnace is heating - but the operating status screen shows stale data (AC mode). Also, the app displays UTC time (6 hours ahead of local time); it also displays the schedule settings as if it was 6 hours into the future. Fortunately, my wall controller is not confused in this way. The system IS online. Carrier's inability to fix these issues: inexcusable.

We just moved into our new home and discovered this app sucks ..keeps dropping offline saying no internet connection, plus learned you can only use infinity thermostats with their systems no other ones, which I feel is a damn trap and just wrong, infinity is crazy expensive! So we have to get up and go downstairs to change the temps since it won't work on our phones..will end up getting a whole new HVAC system in the near future! 👀😱😡

Carrier app is pretty good, it has come a long way. They definitely seem to listen to about the app. The only thing it's missing is Google Home integration. I'm not sure what all the people complaining about servers being down, I never have issues with servers being down, maybe it's your router or Internet people.

Doesn't work - can't get past "Home Location" section. The old app wants me to switch to this app; this app doesn't let me past the 2nd part after logging in; I enter my location name and zip/address > hit continue > doesn't proceed. It's unfortunate that Carrier uses a proprietary connection for their thermostats, making it difficult to install something like Nest. Update: 2 yrs later, app finally lets me . Doesn't work well & is frequently out of sync w/ thermostat; doesn't save input.

(App only) Hasn't and still doesn't show usage in dollar amounts only kilowatts. Not saying it's cooling or heating anymore on mode screen or in operating status. 12/7/24 thanks for responding. App is now showing when it's currently running in heating and cooling. Just need to correct the issue of dollar amount not showing in energy usage. I just do the math times my kilowatt usage.12/8/24 Not showing when heating again, even in operating status. Old app accurate and had faster response time

I love this app, and it works pretty well. My problem is that one of my Carrier units does not always respond when I first make an adjustment from my phone. I have to go back in my phone and make that same adjustment two or three times before it actually occurs. 10/12/24: The thermostats have been much better lately in responding to commands given through the app, so I am updating and changing this review to 4 stars. I don't like the weather taking up space on the screen, so please remove.

Works great...... when it works. Every couple weeks or so, it gets disconnected from the thermostat and I have to manually reconnect it back. It's good for a couple weeks, then disconnects again. My Internet/modem/router is fine. Something is up with the app, the thermostat, or both.

I swear I used to be able to control the app from more than one phone. Now only one person can connect to it at a time. This is beyond ridiculous. Now instead of my partner and I both being able to adjust the temperature if we're uncomfortable, one person is always waking up the other. Please fix this. If my furnace was compatible with literally any other smart thermostat, I would've changed it over already. I am low key considering buying a whole new furnace just because of this thermostat.
