Am trying the free version on my Xperia 1V, and it doesn't work at all. Screen is blank, and I keep getting a message to wait for 1 minute. Wait, wait, wait and still nothing happens. Anyone else having this issue? Giving it 1 star for this phone until there is a fix. Ok. Restarted phone and it seems to be working now. Will change the stars to 3 pending experimentation. Installed the newer demo version and can get the software to work....however, I am ALWAYS getting dropped frames-lots of them!

My phone is a Sony Xperia Pro-I with nearly a half terabyte of free internal storage and a one terabyte SD card, almost completely free. I would like very much to shoot RAW video, but my phone and Motion Cam don't get along. I was able to record a few brief test videos, but all showed only numerous horizontal lines, mostly red and blue. The app also crashed many times. I am going to delete it, wait a month or so and try again, hoping it will work. Thanks for your efforts.

Fantastic idea and exceptional quality, way ahead of apple prores if you know what you're doing... But literally there isn't any sort of ease of use in any aspect of this app. I like that it exists and i definitely gonna use it in some scenarios, But If there was a version that had filmic pro ui/features, with this app's format and image quality, and it cost 3x of filmic pro, i would've go for it...

Does exactly as d. Those unfamiliar with CinemaDNG will have a tough time (especially since now the only way to natively transcode it is through DaVinci Resolve. Which isn't bad, just a process. I usually convert to BMD color space and export as ProRes. Pretty easy to work with after that. It was really good quality. Man, like really good. I appreciate the app.

The best "pro" cam app on Android. It has a set of features that only are available from some high end cameras. Abilities to capture raw and high depth color Log videos on a smartphone are the highlight! Anyone with interest in pursuing high quality video capture should take a look and give it a try (with demo version). There are indeed limitations that are inherently from your devices. Do find out in their social media groups, so you aren't disappointed unnecessarily.

Yes, this app can be tricky, but if you're looking for absolutely the best video quality, this app is the absolute best. Filmiro and others aren't doing this. This is true Raw video, this is cinemaDNG on a phone, and if you have the patience for it, you can get unbelievable video footage out of this. I'm flabbergasted by this app and I hope they continue refining it and that device makers open their cameras up a bit to make things easier.

I’ve used Motioncam for 2 years, and it’s incredible! It’s the first Android app with true RAW video capture, and regular updates keep making it better. The app's features—like LUTs, ProRes codecs, and noise control—give amazing image quality that rivals DSLR cameras. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but the tutorials help a lot. If you're into photography or videography, try the free demo—5-second clips are enough to see its potential. Highly recommended!

Excellent for testing device ! MotionCam app tries really hard to all phones, but not all phone manufacturers gives access to the RAW video stream(s) for their different sensors. Also note that performance of your device play a key role in how well MotionCam will work, and performance is directly tied to the phone's ability to keep cool. I recommend this app, try burst mode for pictures! Companion besides pro version to keep in photo mode, for easy access directly for burst/photo
