Was great to monitor temp and humidity levels, as well as getting notifications when a smoke or CO2 alarm went off in my home while away. I don't host my place to others so the noise monitoring feature was no use for me, now can't use the thing without buying an expensive fee each month. limits your market now as why should the average homeowner need to buy this thing! Its going to the garbage as I don't want to pay the expensive monthly fee they recently added to this Minut monitoring unit

Old device not working with new software. reply: "We don't give if warranty has expired" Don't waste your money. Edit: 2024 Still the same. Old models are paperweight. This is why we need open source so we dont waste resources. I have 2 units fully working, but as software is not ed I cannot use it.

Would ideally like to be able to set a threshold below 60dB, this would be more realistic in my case. Overall with the research I done the Device is definitely doing what's expected of it, I was very skeptical of how reliable it would be, it is slightly slow to pick up on events, but is not the worst by any means, even in situations where there can be all sorts of activity, and brief pauses it can be sharp enough, would like to be able to set any dB level threshold though.

Only two things are missing in my opinion in this device to be awesome. 1) Utilize cellular(GSM/3G), in case if the house has lost electricity and internet. 2) A sensor close the door to use RFID Tag (or remote control) to turn on/off alarm, in case you cellphone there is no battery or to be more fast to get in / out without need to open the app every time. Hope the next version will implement it, otherwise is not efficient alarm.

I was under the impression that my sensor was free, and the subscription was $380. I activated one sensor, and now they have a new sensor so I was asking the company about a credit towards using the new version of their sensor that can be used outdoors. The company is not willing to offer me a credit towards a new sensor even though I somehow paid $380 for two. Not happy with their business practices.

Overall good. The App started showing unrealistic temperatures (on the Y axis of the graphs) after the the last version update - about 90f higher than the real number. The temperature shown on the dashboard is correct though. First after I installed it, I learned that some settings would drain battery faster ( i.e. lower noise alerting thesholds, or sending data more often i.e. minutely vs every 10 min, and no way to poll on demand). The app doesn't allow to go below 60db as alerting threshold.

The minut is great at what it does. I have had some issues connecting more than one device to a property and had to tweak network to get them to connect. Also it would be nice if they had an outdoor unit. The current unit is not designed for outdoors and the warranty is voided if you try to.

Alarms totally unreliable.. 9 times out of 10 they fail to activate. I have to remove and turn off and back on and then it might only work for few hours. I then it will fail to activate again... This is the sane for two separate points. I will be returning both for refund
