It works great for what I need! I didn't plan to use this for anything other than quickly viewing files that were on a remote machine. Nothing crazy and now I have a great backup. Paired with Tailscale, I can even remote while away from the network. The display on my Pixel Fold is the ideal viewing experience too

Constant crashes, freezes, and disconnects since the July update. Happens regardless of network or target PC. LAN or AVD. Desktop session or remote app. Direct or through RD gateway. it's always the same: I connect to the PC/workspace and after a minute or so of normal use I get a grey screen and a spinning throbber. Often while scrolling. It's been months and still no fix in sight. Thanks Microsoft, you've made it impossible for me to work from my phone, which is actually kind of a big deal.

As others have stated, it disconnects very often. It's worth avoiding this app. You can make it crash by simply scrolling. It's shocking that this is made by Microsoft. Version 8 is far better in every way. From what I can tell, it's worth ing an old apk (version 8) and completely avoiding Version 10. It's very broken.

This used to be the best remote desktop app but the last few updates have rendered it unusable. Even the latest build. It crashes in the middle of a session and won't respond, then hangs with a spinning circle until you kill the all and clear cache. Happens on both my S22 Ultra and my Tab S8 plus. I've restored to using Google Remote Desktop and another RDP app, neither of which is as good as the pre-crashy Microsoft app, but I have no choice. Please Microsoft, fix this?

EDIT: 4 months later and it seems to have gotten even worse. Literally constant freezing and crashing. It's unusable. I don't understand how Microsoft could put out something THIS bad. Constant freezing, crashing, and forced closing on Android. Very unreliable. Looking for an alternative because this app has proven it's not out of beta with how often it freezes or crashes on me. I expect better from Microsoft.

Very useful once you learn it's quarks Bluetooth mouse and keyboard is a great addition but not necessary. Very frequent (multiple per session) dropped connections on cellular or wifi. You can either back out or have to wait 30 sec for Android crash force close to pop up it's 50/50 on this. It would be handy if the app had a mouse gestures list in the app instead of having to search Microsoft website.

My experience with this app is not really nice, I'll give you a few reasons: 1. Connection drops 2. Connection issues when you try to connect 3. App keeps running in the background even when I killed the app in app switcher. The problem is that whenever I used this app on my old iPhone it used to work just fine, perfect I must add. I didn't have issues on the iOS platform but since I've switched to Android this app has just been a nightmare.

Still a miserable experience. Doesn't matter if you connect locally or over VPN, to physical or virtual hardware. It works great when it works, but all to often the session freezes or goes blank to a spinning circle. The you have to force stop the app and relaunch. This is unacceptable, Microsoft!
