I purchased the 40$ a year plan and so far I like it. But it does get reparative and once I learn all the words I'm going to cancel my subscription. Also, during most of the "other vegetables" section there is a clear change in voice actress and it kind of throws you off. Also, in the sweets and spices category it says the word "pimentón" while showing a picture of pepper and the spelling "pimiento", Drops definately needs to fix that. People are paying for this app ya know.

It's ok as a supplement to some more serious study. You will not get grammar or pronunciation explanations. It's vocabulary and short sentences--that works for me, but beginners could be confused. This is Mexican Spanish, which seems to have some slight differences in pronunciation than the Latin American Spanish I did in high school. Pronunciations are sometimes too fast. Sometimes wrong (EX: they say "una" when the word begins with "la") undecided if I will continue this app.

I feel I'm having a lot of success with this app, knowing everyone learns well in different ways. This app works for me. There is plenty of repetition to help with memorization, the articles are included, and my favorite is they don't continue to supply the english words/translation which I find very helpful. I dont want to learn in of translation, I want to learn the Spanish via visual association. This app does a wonderful job of just that. 5 stars.

After trying several apps, this is the best by far. Even if you dont know a single word in another language, this app does a really good job to teach the basics for those who are willing to learn. Does a great job with word pronunciation, also. The match the word to the picture does good to permanently visualize that object to the word itself. In all if you want to learn another language, this is the app to get! 5/5!

So far, so good. It's definitely optimized for a mobile phone experience. Not sure if I will keep it as it appears to be geared only towards the very beginners. Update: Still using after several years. The pictures are sometimes very vague and difficult to identify. However, it's good for vocabulary.

just starting, interface is friendly, clear visuals and audio, multi tiny puzzle-esque aspects that keep a engaging. *update from 5/5. happy to subscribe to a year, effective, but could use photos instead of icons. it makes it harder for me to have consistent visuals to learn from. it becomes a pattern rather than stimulating. Maybe consider different images focused for more visual centric s? will continue learning

Love this app!! They have a simple system of connecting words from your target langues to images of the object, much like we learn how to speak as children. Everything I've learned so far has really stuck with me, especially since the goals are bite sized and the flexible streak system allows me to go about my life without being constantly dissapointed that I couldn't keep a streak. Likewise, the ads are only only after lessons, and there's no requirement to spend money. No annoying notifs too:)

Best app we've found for learning vocabulary. We are even using it to help some of our Mexican friends learn English while we use it to learn Spanish. There is one issue I've noticed. Sometimes when finishing one frame and the next is a listening exercise, the vocal for the listening exercise starts too soon and speaks over the answer from the previous exercise so you have to tap it again to hear what it says. Other than that, it's fabulous!
