Somehow, a bad app keeps getting worse. Features the Eagle touts simply don't work in the Android app, like conveniently printing puzzles. Navigation is a nightmare. Scrolling through the print edition in landscape view occasionally results in a zoomed out view that seems to require switching to portrait view, where the print is nearly too small to read comfortably. Combined with the continuing degradation in timeliness and completeness of local news, there doesn't seem to be any point to h

finally there is a newspaper format, but it keeps blinking when moving from one article to the next on my phone. Also, this morning when trying to use it in the format, after making it big enough the read then trying to go smaller to move to the next page, instead the screen locks up and the whole thing has to be restarted. I took the print edition for 22 years, but dropped it because the Eagle thought that subscribers should be paying for the newspaper, not so historically, think rs.

The Wichita Eagle has removed my subscription access less than halfway through an annual subscription, and does not respond to any requests for help. I assume it's because they raised subscription prices and don't want to honor the price I received. I highly recommend you do not subscribe until they rectify the subscription issues.

Prio to the "upgrade" I would get today's print edition, which is an option on the contents menu located at the top (not the bottom). Then I could pick any article and it would become full screen. Now the app no longer allows me to do this. The "today's edition" tab on the contents menu A: has all articles that were printed in todays edition and B will not allow me to pick an article for full screen viewing. I'm canceling. I want to local media but I can do without this app.

I like getting the hometown news but many times it's hard to get that news in a timely manner. By the time it's posted on this site it's usually old news. This is especially true for the college and high school sports.
