App has worked for me without operational flaws. For a big company like G.E., it should be designed better for functionality and usability. Names of devices should be customized as i cant tell which AC unit is which without turning it off. controls on app is simple but could be improved. Conmects to Google Home app easily but can only turn on/off and adj fan speed. been 2 yrs since last update...one is needed!!!

The app needs improvement. One minute it works and the next it says it can not connect. I have good internet so i know it is not me. It took many attempts to set up. Most of the time it will say my AC is offline and i am unable to switch it on using the app. The AC itself works great. The app and wifi is the downfall.

Installed ap but no success with connecting to my window AC. The WIFI light would flash for a couple of minutes but go out before the set-up was complete. And I got the "Oops, something went wrong" messsge. But no option relsted to "No WiFi light". Later I ,working alone, managed to get the appliance connected. The app was somewhat useful until an update on 9/30/19. Now the app is "dead" in that the connection issue is again a problem. Tech not helpful, basically you are on your own.

The app is a good start, but needs more work. Needs High & Low Temp notifications. Also needs ability to change Temperature based on schedule. also would be nice to see temperature trends in addition to (or in place of) power usage trends. I'll be happy to rate the app higher as functionality improves. Great start guys...keep on improving, please.

GE=dinosaur company apparently. Hardware is fine, but IoT is a complete faceplant. Can't compete with modern brands - this is the only connected device I own that simply refuses to work with its designated app. Connected but can't find the device in the cloud? Really? Everything else I have works seamlessly. This was a fail, GE. This was simply a fail.

It MOSTLY does what it says it will. Unfortunately, it also wants you to make an and immediately send you spam. Even worse, it defaults my location to louisville kentucky. The only way I can see to change this is to give their frickin app your gps information. God forbid we just select a state, city, or zip code rather than let them see our every move. Another app trying to be an "internet of things" app rather than letting me just change settings and turn on or off my AC.

Bought and installed GE window AC on 6/4/20. ed app onto Moto G6 running Android 9 same day. Connected to WiFi & AC fine 1st try. Today, 6/7/20, opened app & it wouldn't connect to AC. WiFi light on unit was neither flashing nor solid. After trying multiple times to connect unsuccessfully, removed AC from app & went through setup/connection sequence again. Now it's working again - but for how long? Not very useful if I have to remove/reconnect every few days. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Review is for the Android app. It's easy enough to set up, the app walks you through every step, and then it repeatedly failed to find my new air conditioner. The air conditioner itself is great, and I'm not terribly upset because network connectivity is not the main reason that I bought this unit. But it's frustrating that the app repeatedly fails to do the one thing it was supposed to.
