This app does not work that well on Android. I took a precision rifle shooting class a few weeks ago and ed this because it was recommended by the instructors- come to find out that all the instructors have iPhones. The biggest issue is the zero data. The app automatically inputs altitude, pressure, and temperature for your zero input- so I actually zeroed at 80 degrees, but it won't allow me to edit from 59 degrees. This means when I bring up the ballistic table, my zero isn't zero.

There are a lot of problems with this app: - the connection to Kestrel 5700x is dropped all the time and it does not seem to get any environmental data from the device - the range calculator does not work at all and sends the used to the first screen - very basic and unintuitive interface - a UX/UI expert is needed - very little amount of rectiles (an inconveniance but not critical) - wind controls do not work - nothing happens - when Kestrel is the source of data I should be able to see them

Not being able to save input to cloud and/or not allowing s to transfer inputs to another device is a significant issue...phones don't last long and can die at the worst possible times. I am on my second or 3rd manual reentry. Hours will be spent on this as well as checking outputs. Still being told WebSync is coming back but it has been years. If you buy this write all your inputs down. Otherwise if your phone dies unexpectedly you have nothing. Frankly there are a lot of programs out there now and having recoverable inputs is a feature I would strongly recommend a new buyer consider. Other than that the program has been great.

Not a bad ballistics app and the only one at the time I ed it that ha the Horus Tremor 2 reticle. My two frustrations: One, when I've broken my phone the app does not save my data so I have to start from scratch and reenter all my data. Two, I hate that I cannot zoom in on the reticle screen to get a more precise hold picture. I don't need to feature, but my kids and guests need it. Also, I have yet to find my ammo in the ammo library. Other than those issues, great ballistics app.

Love the app but not being able to cloud store profiles is plain infuriating when you change phones or a tablet. it's the one function that really fails this app. More than 6 months on from your reply to my initial review you still have not implemented the means to store data... Edit: It's been nearly 12 months since my original review and data backup is still not available. I cannot recommend this app. Every time you move to a new device you will lose all your data.

Disappointed that web sync is still not back as its a very useful feature and one of the reasons why I purchased this app despite is price at the time. Im sorely disappointed and would never have purchased it had I realized how few updates and features it would have over time. I've read a lot of Brian's publications and think he is very talented but now to see a second applied ballistics app on the market is a complete kick for anyone who paid the price for this app. Web sync really is necessary. You can't charge the price you have and remove key features. While kestrel is useful, not everyone uses kestrel. Personally I'm going to just uninstall the app at this point and put it down to experience and realise that a price does not alway equate to a experience. To any prospective buyers, there are plenty better tools to suit the needs of most shooters so do your research before you buy this app.

Strelok Pro blows this away. Wasted 30.00 bucks. Features are not easily accessible when you are needing ballistic info in a hurry. It is limited in the reticles available in comparison to above mentioned. The graph showing distance on the reticle is very slow if at all to populate. Compare the above to Appiled Ballistic and see for yourself. By the way Pro is only 11.99. I have used it for a long time and it is spot on. So why did I try Applied Ballistics well because it might be better...NOT

This app provides amazingly accurate solutions if you do your part but the lack of reticle choices and backup ability as mentioned by others is really frustrating. I think there are only 38 or so that show up on my Android version. Got so frustrated I also purchased Strelok Pro. . AB is better from a strictly technical point but there are lessons to be learned from the competition's interfaces.
