Update: 2024 App 2 issues. The notifications. It used to work well. Now, I get notified only when I open the app, and then they appear. I missed many events today as a result. The "live" schedule. If the event is completed, mark it as such with "replay." It's a bit misleading. Great app! No issues. I was able to watch the olymics live on the go! It was easy to navigate. Great articles. The notifications were great to remind me of events or breaking news.

Re-edited 2024. After having no Chromecast to start the games, about a week in, they added the back. At least they listen to customers. ---------------From 2022: I think this is an excellent developed app. Covers everything Canadian related to Olympics and all the live stream with chromecast is perfect for modern media use. Great work!

It would be great if the app would notify me when a Canadian was about to compete, especially in a medalling event. It would also be nice to have a clearer schedule of when Canadians were going to compete. The current setup is awkward, having to go back and forth between tabs, and even then it's difficult to follow. I seem to recall previous iterations of this app do both of these things really well, but I'm not completely certain.

2024 update: no option for Chromecast at all anymore? How is it that as technology progresses, this app regresses? It worked much better in 2016! 2021: Chromecast works for about 2 minutes then freezes /crashes! Updated: how have they not fixed this after a full week? I submitted a trouble report last week and they said they were aware and working hard to fix it. Will the Olympics actually be over before this is resolved?! I'm usually a CBC er, but as a taxpayer I'm disappointed by this.

LITERALLY CAN'T WATCH ANYTHING! After a VERY frustrating process where it wouldn't sign me in properly after multiple times, I am now rewarded with the fact that the very REASON why I ed and installed this thing, won't even work! I go to watch something, it has the video player interface up, (casting is now gone) I press play, and nothing. Nothing plays. No timestamps. No sound. Nothing happens. The video player doesn't even WORK. FIX THIS!!!!!

It is the worst live streaming app this year after watching Olympics through CBC since 2016. The UI is not friendly and the "live" stream reload every a few seconds for the next a few 20ish seconds. I cannot believe this is happening in CBC. Where are the funds spent? If CBC can not do it well, let someone else do it for Canada.

This does not work at all. I cannot select any of the options, videos etc. My partner is experiencing similar problems with hers. We're both using Samsung phones A52 and A15 over a cell service. Hope they will work out the bugs before the games are finished LOL

Casting live events from an android device does not work. Not sure if this is device specific (galaxy s23), but disappointed that I cannot use the one feature I ed the application for. EDIT: After July 26th update, now cannot cast at all from android device (option to cast isn't available).
